Job Description:
This Manager position will be a part of the Amex Ethics Office within the General Counsel's Organization and play a key role in helping employees and the Company live up to the high ethical standards outlined in the Code of Conduct.
This role will be responsible for assisting in the continued development and expansion of the Ethics Hotline and Ethics Office, helping in ensuring that the Ethics Office and Hotline are effectively run and resourced, and working with internal and external groups.
This role requires an individual who is a strategic thinker and exhibits great skills in project management.
This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
Qualifications:
Specific accountabilities would include:
- Effectively triage reports of ethical and compliance concerns and the related investigations (e.g., review reports, designate issue types, refer to appropriate internal investigators, and assist in documenting case resolution)
- Professionally and discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information
- Help in evolving the Amex Ethics Hotline and the Amex Ethics Office over time (particularly within the next 36 months)
- Draft policies and procedures and the maintenance of same
- Draft reporting content and cadence (e.g., ensure the key messages to relay to business and functional executives are being presented clearly and concisely)
- Help to apply change management techniques to identify gaps and opportunities in a change process
- Assist in managing a 3rd party vendor relationship
- Communicate and market the Amex Ethics Hotline and the Amex Ethics Office to ensure awareness and understanding of the roles of each
- Work in case management system and help construct an intersection with other case management systems (e.g., Case Track, AON, SWORD)
Required skills and background :
- Process driven with great organizational skills and attention to detail and data
- Great interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills; written, oral, and listening skills
- Proficient at drafting effective presentations and PowerPoint decks
- Strong analytical skills
- Due to nature of information that will be handled, must show great emotional maturity and compassion towards others and situations they may be facing
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the organization
Education Requirement :
- Bachelors preferred
- Should be a graduate/post graduate with a minimum of 6+ years of experience.
