Job Description/Overview:&nbsp;<div> - Director - Head, New Business Development, Network Partnerships India is a key leadership role responsible for identified Global Network Services Business in India. American Express Network Services Business partners with large local banks for issuing credit and prepaid cards on the American Express Network. Growing our India footprint through bank partnerships is a priority for American Express in India and across the world.&nbsp; - A significant focus is therefore on development new bank partnerships.&nbsp; - This role will focus on:&nbsp; 1) Expanding the network footprint in the region through identifying, prospecting, negotiating and signing new bank partnerships&nbsp; 2) Partnering closely with bank and internal teams for new product development and designing best in class products on the American Express network&nbsp; 3) Partnering closely with technical implementation teams for pre &amp; post launch activities, &nbsp;4) Actively managing new partnerships and growing American Express share of partner business&nbsp; 5) Owning E2E service delivery for bank partners assigned in coordination with other GNS teams&nbsp; 6) Uplifting and redefining network proposition for banks, ensuring differentiation on value proposition and capabilities&nbsp; 7) Supporting any existing partner relationships which may be added to role as it evolves&nbsp; - This position would report to VP - GNS South Asia and would lead 1-2 Business Development leaders directly. The incumbent would also work across &amp; influence a variety of stakeholders in a matrix environment for goal delivery.&nbsp; Key Responsibilities:&nbsp; - Alignment with internal American Express teams for opportunity assessment and deal signing, implementation of new partnerships and products. Liaising with support groups within external partner organizations and as well as within American Express to facilitate implementation.&nbsp; - The position involves heavy engagement across functions like Finance, Pricing, Operations, Legal and Marketing.&nbsp; - The position is also directly responsible for meeting planned billings volume numbers of assigned partnerships and building long term relationships with key stake holders.&nbsp; - The role requires interaction across a spectrum of banks across the region and hence previous experience of skill sets required for such engagement will be considered key.&nbsp; - The role requires extensive financial negotiations with bank partners and previous experience on partner negotiations will be a required skill.&nbsp;- The incumbent will be required to contribute to plans &amp; implement key GNS strategic initiatives to support business growth.&nbsp; - He/she will ensure tracking and drawing insights from key market / industry trends and developments, client needs, and competitive activities.&nbsp; &nbsp;Provide thought leadership on deals / partnerships / new capabilities - Closely work with GMS local and global entities&nbsp; The position has accountability for the following metrics: &nbsp;- Driving the plan numbers (billings, revenue, PTI) &amp; partner share from assigned partners through existing and new products &nbsp;- New Partner signings with E2E implementation <div> </div>Qualifications: &nbsp;- MBA or Similar background with at least 12 + years of applicable experience on Issuing or Acquiring side of Payments business <div> </div>- Experience negotiating complex agreements and managing external partner relationships <div> </div>- Outstanding influence management, relationship and communication skills <div> </div>- Excellent analytical skills <div> </div>Ability &amp; experience in innovation and questioning status quo, along with building followership for new ideas. <div> </div>- Inspiring people leader who has generated organizational follower-ship within a matrix environment, with a demonstrated ability to forge deep relationships with partners, and a track record of creating a consistently superior commercial experience <div> </div>- Position will be based in Gurgaon and require up to 40% of travel.
