Functional Description:

International Card Services within AEBC (American Express Banking Corp.) India is focused on a multi-year roadmap to drive critical Growth, Efficiency and Governance initiatives. As part of this newly created AEBC ICS India "Issuing Capabilities & Platforms" Organization, this Issuing Capabilities & Platforms Head role will partner to implement and subsequently manage lifecycle of these high-impact platform and capabilities.

This role will own and drive milestones towards flawless execution towards implementation of our new set of issuing product platforms and capabilities (both consumer and corporate) and subsequently for ongoing ownership & management of platforms and capabilities roadmap & delivery while continuously adapting to changing priorities across diverse stakeholder groups.

Experience in product management delivery across large growth and regulatory focused initiatives will be essential along with excellent relationship management abilities to drive and influence cross project teams & stake holder groups.

Key Responsibilities:

- As part of the larger project team, own rollout of new issuing product stack and capabilities, and ongoing management of the Product Roadmap for these platforms and capabilities, working across several critical "workstreams" to drive a consistent framework that minimizes customization.

- Drive the execution and subsequent enhancement of all platforms and capabilities lifecycle processes including market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and launch.

- Translate strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final development by engineering teams, via collaboration with multiple stakeholders on Requirements Grooming, Design, Architecture and Prioritization across multiple scrum teams.

- Collaborate with workstream owners to identify & mitigate barriers to roadmap execution, including understanding critical cross-workstream and cross-platform dependencies.

- Drive delivery by creating and maintaining a comprehensive view of the end-to-end program plan, including tracking risks & key program decisions.

- Partner with Tech SMEs, other Enterprise Product & Capability Owners & Business SMEs to ensure an aligned capability development strategy is being deployed.

- Provide ongoing visibility of the roadmap, project plans, progress, dependencies, and risks to leadership and business partners.

- Subsequent to launch of capabilities, owns and manages the Tech Opex effectively and optimally, in line with delivering various growth and legal and regulatory imperatives.

- Being a part of AEBC India Business vertical, ensure that platforms and capabilities stack facilitates achievement of key business objectives, and at the time aligns with extant legal & regulatory requirements. Measure of success would also be prevention of risk (both operational and legal/internal policies) and driving more streamlined and simplified business with sound governance processes.

Qualifications and experiences required:

- Overall 12+ years of experience in areas of product development, product management, software development in a professional environment with proven track record for finding creative solutions.

- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security or any other relevant qualification.

Experience hybrid systems to integrate using APIs, and on Mainframe systems are preferred. Prior engineering experience (coding, testing, install) is preferred.

- Proven ability to work autonomously and adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change.

- Experience working across global markets, with track record of success in managing complex initiatives would be beneficial.

- End to end system functional understanding of a credit card processing software (specially VisionPLUS) would be beneficial.

- Strong project management and analytical skills & rigor - ability to source and interpret data/facts in a meaningful way and present a compelling story to support decision making.

- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills plus outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to craft messages that clearly and succinctly communicate key messages for internal and external audiences.

- Strong communication skills and comfort delivering presentations at senior executive level.

- The ability to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams and to be highly credible with senior leaders and key stakeholders.

- A broad knowledge of and experience championing the use of best practice project and program management standards and processes.
