This position will be part of a fast-paced & innovative team within Risk and Information Management Center of Excellence (RIM CoE). This role supports internal group which is focused on leveraging the closed loop advantage to connect buyers and sellers through our unique offer ecosystem and suite of merchant marketing products, as well as demonstrating the value of the network to merchants through insights that help them grow their business.

- Develop analytical framework and methodology to measure effectiveness of different marketing initiatives and optimize marketing efforts through strategic recommendation

- Develop next generation insights product solutions, at times in partnership with external partners. Examples of such products include, industry spend sense, custom scoring)

- Play pivotal role to develop new insights solutions and transform merchant capabilities, core insights delivery platform into a next generation BI platform.

- Bolster the impact of advanced algorithm and big data capabilities across leveraging advance algorithms to drive Amex economics

- Provide analytical thought leadership across the key functional priorities to develop advanced analytical products & execute custom engagements

- Partner closely with data scientists on Data Capabilities & Partnership team to pursue complex initiatives that advance our closed-loop data assets

- Leveraging a structured thinking approach to solve client business problems .

- Effectively communicate, gain support and execute on strategic initiatives that require involvement from many stakeholders

- Invest in establishing and growing relationships with multiple teams to develop trusted partnerships. Understand the culture and process for being an effective leader.

Qualification

- M.Tech/Master's degree in Economics, Statistics or related quantitative fields from a top tier institute.

- Proficiency & experience in econometric, statistical and machine learning techniques to develop best in class predictive models & clustering methodology

- Proficient in SAS programming/SQL, working knowledge of hadoop architecture & analytical tools (PIG/Hive, Random forest, K nearest neighbor etc)

- Ability to partner with a team of highly skilled econometricians, business and data analysts in developing information-driven solutions for our customers.

- Proven ability to lead and inspire a global team to delivery extraordinary results.

- Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to pro-actively and independently drive results

- Experience working in highly cross-functional environment, flexibility and adaptability to work with tight deadlines and changing priorities

- Demonstrated passion for customers and clients, and for creating a consistently superior customer experience
