Your ability to define and develop high scalable and high performance web services is essential.&nbsp; - You will have opportunities to work on frontend (Website), backend (Services), deep learning and interact with WW business stakeholders directly. In addition, successful candidates will be able to lead by example, balance development responsibilities while participating in cross team efforts including architecture planning. To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable gathering requirements across the business teams, creating and maintaining technical project plans and diving into the technical details to understand the nuances and complexities involved. - In this role you will be responsible for delivering large projects end-to-end that span multiple technology and operational teams. These projects will include initiatives such as rolling out new technology to new geographies as we expand, creating new technology to support new businesses and use cases, and otherwise building great technology platforms that can scale to Amazon's size and global market places. - In this role, you will lead large-scale re-architecture of our technology stack across multiple systems and teams. You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. Basic qualifications : - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams - 5+ years of technical program management experience Additional basic qualifications : - 4+ years of experience leading dev teams to design/architect business software solutions - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience - A first-hand working knowledge of current web development technologies and service-oriented architecture - Advanced knowledge of business applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Project - Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize tasks - Strong business and technical vision - Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time - Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet time sensitive timelines with optimal solutions - Able to work in a diverse and global team - Experience with agile development Preferred Qualifications : - Solid knowledge of software development process and lifecycle - Excellent written and verbal communication skills engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience in delivering large, multi-stage programs across many tech and non-tech teams - Strong problem solving and negotiation skills to earn trust and influence partners and teams, and demonstrate success in shipping of software products on time - Prior experience as a software developer is a plus
