We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager, to be a single-threaded leader for Amazon Technical Learning Academics (ATLAS). On our team, you are the "voice" for your program, YOU own it - and working with others, get to design and build something special. We think big, and we learn and grow and challenge conventional thinking - and each other. The Sr. Program Manager (PM) will drive strategic and operational components for the Amazon Technical Learning Academics Program (ATLAS). ATLAS is an immersive learning experience focused on grooming employee from non-tech teach (with a technical background) into tech roles at Amazon (i.e. SDE, QAE, SE).

The Sr. PM is responsible for influencing and partnering with senior leaders across Core Tech Panel, External 3P learning partner and Core ATLAS project team. The role would also actively interface with ATLAS participants, implement key program initiatives/strategic program components and drive efficiencies by identifying opportunities which enable the program to scale. The role will also closely partner with HR and internal support teams (for e.g. Student Programs, Lateral Hiring, Internal Transfers, Engineering Excellence) to ensure traction for ATLAS program deliverables.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

Program Strategy:

- You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of a complex cross-functional program with considerable impact.

- As a large-program owner, you are accountable for the overall strategy as well as tactically driving teams in and outside your organization to deliver.

- You are able to define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation. You understand the significant business problems in your program space, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind leadership decisions.

Program Technical talent bar and Participant Talent Management:

- Design experiences which help participants meet the technical bar at Amazon leaders. This includes identifying or creating training and experiential learning in partnership with core tech panel and 3P vendor. Facilitate opportunities for participants to gain exposure and build relationships with Amazon Tech leaders.

- Work with participant & internship managers to clarify expectations and consult on performance trajectory/issues. Program manager in this role will ensure timely delivery on the above parameters by coordinating with stakeholders, and highlight any blockers to the program sponsors & project leadership.

- Facilitate regular progress check-in reviews for ATLAS participants. Coordinate with respective trainers and internship managers so ensure that participants have well defined learning experiences during each ATLAS Phase.

Stakeholder Management:

- To ensure stakeholder needs are aligned, you drive mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions. You provide a long-term perspective, context (past, current, and future) for business and technology (at a high level) choices.

- You partner with customers, internal/external teams, and engineering teams to determine what project elements move forward and in what priority order. Own the evangelization of ATLAS program within larger Amazon forums (e.g. Amazon daily dive or inside. amazon), thus enabling ATLAS to be viewed as a 'flagship tech career pathways for non-tech graduates. Empower stakeholders to evangelize the program and find ways to give participants exposure to stakeholders. Partner with recruitment partners to ensure attraction and pipeline activities are effective.

Leadership reviews:

- You are an data-driven and an excellent communicator. You write effective narratives (e.g., Amazon 6-pager, PR/FAQ, reporting, etc.) and present them effectively to directors and VPs. You routinely deliver the right things with limited guidance.

- When confronted with discordant views, you are able to find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path (build consensus). You ensure your program stays aligned with organizational objectives.

- You regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility. You are able to solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks). You demonstrate good judgment in how and when to escalate (without damaging relationships).

Role Requirements:

- 8+ years of program management experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

- Excellent Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms

- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

- Experience of handling project dependencies and demonstrated ability of stakeholder management

- Demonstrated ability to go the extra mile to do things right and fast
