Senior Program Manager

Amazon India seeks proven Program Managers and improvement specialists to be a part of the India Ops under the Reverse logistics program. This position will be focused on reducing losses within one or more of the 4 areas of losses, by inventing and driving simplified, scalable and effective solutions. This role requires a strong bias for action and the ability to innovate, deliver results and drive a better understanding of our business, working in an ever changing and ambiguous environment arising from the changing abuse patterns and workaround for the current interventions in play and hence will require the incumbents to be on their toes, driving and delivering solutions with urgency.

What this role is about :

- This role will work with the Ops (Fulfillment center, Middle Mile, Last mile), loss prevention team, category along with multiple tech teams to employ process improvements, technology to automate processes to reduce damages, concession losses. The ideal candidate will exhibit interpersonal and change management skills with a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful and customer-focused. Communicating with the senior Amazon leadership team will be a periodic occurrence as well as managing and strengthening relationships with the stakeholders. In this position you will:

- Structure and build loss trees with a focus on identifying opportunities for continually reducing the losses within the specific area of ownership, drive execution of the program interventions on the ground by working and influencing the internal and external stakeholders.

- Deep dive and analyze key business performance metrics, identify gaps, create plans to mitigate and drive to closure.

- Own regular business reviews with leadership and operational teams to audit ongoing performance against key metrics and program goal.

- Monitor and respond to stakeholder feedback.

- Keep abreast of new MO's and abuse patterns and leverage new and available technologies, to reduce the shrinkage and the losses arising out of these abuse patterns.

- Ability to convert ambiguous data sets to draw meaningful insights, and build organizational capability to systemically reduce losses by continuously inventing and simplifying existing processes, SOP's, Programs and Products for large scale and long term impact.

- This role calls for an individual to showcase judgment and decision making skills to balance customer experience with financial impact. This position offers a broad exposure to various business, financial, and technical teams within Amazon.

Basic Qualifications :

- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Excellence or related field preferable with an additional exposure to Improvement tools and techniques

- 10 + years- relevant work experience handling large programs with multiple stakeholders, and significant tech development and roll-out across large distributed teams

- Long term thinking and attention to detail with an aptitude for solving unstructured problems, and strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong program management skills and deep dive capabilities

- Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguous inputs and delivering results under tight timelines

Preferred Qualifications :

- Working knowledge of SQL and Advanced Excel

- Past experience working in an E-commerce set-ups and specific exposure to reverse logistics processes is desirable

- Full Time MBA from Tier 1 B-Schools
