Sr. Marketing Manager

- Amazon India is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager. This role is for a high priority initiative that will drive innovation in the shopping experience for Amazon India. The individual will collaborate with cross functional partners across IN and WW platform teams to formulate and implement initiatives for a new storefront on Amazon.

- Ours is a multi-functional team of product/program managers, marketing managers and business intelligence engineers. We are looking to hire a Sr. Marketing Manager who will develop strategies to acquire and engage New to Amazon customers. This is a high visibility role that requires you to bring agile experimentation, data integrity, and business maturity to achieve customer engagement goals for target cohorts. You will also present customer engagement plans to executive leadership team. In ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Customer obsession and passion for understanding customer behavior, engagement and growth through data and customer anecdotes

- Ability to synthesize vast and disparate data points, develop key insights on customer experience, highlight gaps (if any) and design experiments across cross-functional teams that target customer segments to shop on Amazon

- Curiosity, and ability to quickly learn, deliver and react to detailed assessment of triggers and barriers for growth in different customer cohorts, and demographic segments

Key job responsibilities:

- Own projects with considerable scope and/or complexity with significant impact on customer experience and Amazon's business

- Own creation of marketing programs, and multiple key traffic drivers, to acquire new customers.

- Work with central creative team to create industry leading communication

- Identify new ways to segment customers, understand them better, and develop programs to improve key customer metrics.

- Identify information gaps, research needs and sanctioning research to understand/serve customers better

- Work with cross functional teams and internal teams, including technology teams, to define, drive, and launch improvements to the shopping experience.

- Conceptualize, design and execute online and offline marketing initiatives to extend awareness of our products on and off of Amazon.

- Conduct in-depth analyses to determine program effectiveness and to continuously improving programs and site initiatives

- Understand and use merchandising and customer-facing metrics to guide decision making.

- Present to senior management externally and internally

- Meet business goals while ensuring a top-notch customer experience.

- Experience guiding creative input, development and execution from concept to completion

- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

- 5+ years of marketing experience

- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements

- Experience managing teams

- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal with stakeholders

- Bachelor's degree and MBA from Tier 1 B-School with 12+ years of experience with 7+ years in marketing or brand management within eCommerce or FMCG companies

- Past experience in digital marketing (paid search, paid display, SEO, content, paid social) and in handling marketing or promotions programs for a consumer-facing business of significant scale

- Prior people management experience is mandatory

- Demonstrated ability to develop customer-driven innovations in high-growth businesses

- Strong data-driven decision making skills, with ability to dive deep into customer data and translate insights into opportunities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas and persuade stakeholders.

- The right candidate will be able to think and influence both quantitatively and qualitatively

- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and high attention to detail

- An experienced planner and project manager, with great cross-team coordination skills

- Must be comfortable operating at different levels in the organization, and across various teams ; retail, creative, finance, analytics, product and so on

- Proven track record of delivering outstanding marketing results
