The Role: Risk Management - Define Operational Risk framework for APIPL and work with leaders to drive implementation across the organization keeping in mind the risk tolerance of APIPL - Work with business leaders and conduct an Annual Risk Assessment of the businesses to effectively understand and capture key inherent risks for APIPL - Design and implement the Risk and Control framework for APIPL to lower the residual risk for APIPL - Monitor effective implementation of these controls through a robust RCSA testing strategy and assure management of effectiveness of controls for APIPL - Conduct quarterly testing and ongoing review of controls and work with teams to define and monitor mitigation mechanisms - Create mechanisms to capture and escalate Risks to APIPL leadership and program manage its mitigation through respective business teams - Review critical changes from a risk perspective - Establish targeted review framework to review key processes/features to ensure effective capture and mitigation of inherent risks - Continuously work with teams to reduce residual risk of APIPL Operating Compliance: - Closely with legal and business leaders and define mechanisms to ensure ongoing Compliance to regulations (existing and New). - Provide assurance to APIPL leadership around regulatory compliance Mitigate AML Risks: - Define KYC, Screening and AML Policies for APIPL - Ensure comprehensive understanding of KYC and AML risks for APIPL across products and processes and work with business and Operations to design and implement effective mitigation processes - Continually review the progress and refine approach - Work with product to design and implement Product solves for these - Design concurrent Audit framework for KYC across Merchants and Buyers Internal and External Audits - Work closely with Leaders and define Internal Audit charter in line with risk profile of businesses and processes - Work closely with Internal Audit and ensure a strong 2nd line of Defense for organizational Risks - Ensure preparedness review of key compliances pre-regulatory audits - Coordinate all external audits end to end including 100% review of all responses, timely response, program manage remediation of issues - Work with Tech GRC and provide management with visibility to issues across all tech audits - Work with business and legal around issues emanating from these audits and influence elimination/ dilution of observations through suitable positioning Compliance Operations - Design and run Compliance Operations like DPS screening, Suspicious Activity Monitoring, Concurrent Audit - Leverage global systems and teams to execute these and ensure India specific SOPs and governance Mandatory Training: - Create a culture where APIPL employees understand and escalate Risk and issues - Drive a culture of Self-identification and escalation of issues - Define Mandatory training scope, charter, content and program manage implementation - Continuously revise content in line with changes &nbsp;Business Continuity :&nbsp; - Design and implement BCP plans for APIPL - Oversee and approve business impact analysis and the implementation of business recovery plans - Develop and maintain organizational level business recovery plans to identify resources and services that are requires during any emergency situation - Coordinate testing and results for business recovery plans and documented and approved testing assumptions, objectives and success criteria - Manage BCM trainings and awareness program - Represent APIPL in Amazon Crisis Management team - Conduct annual Tabletop exercise for APIPL &nbsp; Tech GRC :&nbsp; - Work with tech GRC and ensure adherence to tech related regulations - Create a mechanism to capture and escalate existing and emerging issues in APIPL - Extend Risk management and escalation framework to Tech GRC Regulatory Reporting: - Design and Implement a robust regulatory reporting system and mechanism that ensures leadership review of all risks Governance :&nbsp; - Define APIPL policies and ensure the same are in line with India, global regulations and ensure understanding by all stakeholders - Ensure effective policy implementation by working with units to ensure these are translated into SOP. Drive units to define Key Controls in these SOPs and testing thereof in the RCSA - Design and implement a robust Change management process across APIPL - Ensure board awareness of key Risks and issues and mitigation. Ensure Board is reassured of Operating compliance and Key Risk Mitigation - Define the Board Oversight mechanism over APIPL for Customer Service, Fraud, Audit and Infosec and operationalize those through program management of necessary Committees and Subcommittees Ensure Board updates are comprehensive and robust - Global Collaboration - Work with global leadership across IA, RCS, Compliance, Trade Legal and ensure effective sharing of best practices and emerging risks - Collaborating cross-regionally in order to ensure that the largest risk exposures are understood, aggregated, and prioritized across the organization globally Basic qualifications :&nbsp; MBA or a similar degree from a Top Tier college. - 14+ years of experience in Financial Services / banking with proven expertise of leading functions like Operational Risk management, Compliance and AML functions - Strong understanding of risks entailed in running of a financial institution - Prior experience in and an ability to take balanced decisions when faced with highly ambiguous and complex situations relating to risk and compliance keeping in mind tradeoffs between business continuity and growth - Demonstrated ability to engage and influence people and teams at every level in the organization - Ability to articulate a clear point of view and influence stakeholders towards the same. - Experience in program managing remediation of those through creation of right framework, mechanisms and programs - An ability to evaluate changes and new products from the lenes of Risk, Compliance, AML, Business continuity and help management work through these and solve business challenges - Hands-on experience developing and driving programs or projects with aggressive schedules - Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions - Excellent product management, project management, organizational and technical skills Preferred qualifications :&nbsp; - Working with regulators directly and an understanding and appreciation of their point of view - Experience across banking (liabilities) as well as FinTech companies - Exposure to Machine Learning and new cage product solutions - Strong understanding of OFAC, India Money laundering and KYC norms and industry practices - Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment - Experience working on global projects or across international markets
