Amazon is looking for a motivated individual for the profile of Sr. Manager, Quality for its India transportation operations team. As a quality manager, you will: - Identify systemic gaps which are impacting performance. - Define the right process and work with stakeholders to establish the right process path. - Work with stakeholders to eliminate gaps in system and have a systemic fix of gaps. - Dive deep and understand the metrics, specially the input piece which is impacting performance. - Work with Ops leaders and their teams to provide support on improving, sustaining performance metrics. - Improve planning parameters that influence performance and improve process quality. - As a Sr. Manager, you will anticipate bottlenecks, escalate appropriately, and balance business demands. You will seek out and take large, complex projects, break them down into manageable pieces, and then deliver them in a timely manner (at scale). - This role calls for an individual who understands all aspects of performance which impacts both internal and external customer experience. The individual will determine, then drive, any initiatives necessary to improve it. It requires an individual to showcase judgment and decision making skills. - The successful candidate will be a person who enjoys and loves working with data, understand operational processes and would be able to design and define progress paths. He / She will have excellent analytical skills. Basic qualifications : - Completed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or similar field from an accredited university OR - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements - 8+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects - 8+ years of experience in program or project management - 5+ years of experience managing teams Preferred qualifications - Completed Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Research or similar field from preferably a top-tier Computer Science or Business School. - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification - Have demonstrated experience leading large-scale standardization efforts - Well-rounded background in lean six-sigma methodologies.
