Amazon - Senior Financial Analyst - India Operations Finance Team

Amazon seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to be a key member of the India Operations Finance team. This position will be a critical business partner and will own the financial planning and business modelling for the IN Transportation and Logistics Network. This includes, among other things, responsibility for financial metrics, reporting, forecasting and analysis. This individual will be an active member of the Programs leadership team. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-growth business.

Primary Responsibilities

Own the overall financial planning model for India Logistics Business across the annual and three year cycles

Perform detailed financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and business modelling

Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management

Identify cost out opportunities and driven programs in partnership with Ops and Retail business partners

Manage the financial planning and analysis effort, forecasting various metrics for financial risks and opportunities

Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions

Establish and maintain operating and business metrics

Work with accounting and tax teams to drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree in finance, accounting or business / CA

5+ years of progressive finance experience in FP&A/Corporate Finance

Advanced knowledge of Excel Modelling

Strong Business acumen with proven Business Partnering skills

Preferred Qualifications

Strong financial modelling & analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.

Superior attention to detail.

Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and dealing with ambiguity.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.

Comfortable with large volumes of complex data and presenting their findings to senior management.

Proficiency in financial and accounting systems (Cognos).

Persuasive verbal & written communication skills

Knowledge of SQL is a strong plus.

MBA preferred.
