Program Manager III - Process Excellence - Six Sigma - The TRON team is an initiative which remotely handles exceptions in the Amazon Robotic Fulfillment Centers in North America. The TRON system is a technology which enables the human supervisory control of automated tasks. In the TRON system, a remote associate provides supervisory control when automated tasks fail for any reason. This allows us to avoid falling into the 90/10 trap where a task can be 90% automated but requires 90% of the time for the last 10% of functionality. Our strategy is to employ a human-as-sensor model and allow humans to perform just those portions of a task that require higher order cognitive ability. - The TRON team is looking for an ACES Manager. The ACES Manager-TRON will lead a team of program managers, training managers and quality managers who will help to diagnose Amazon processes inside AR FCs as well as in TRON team, identify improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies and guide the improvement effort. You will be a caretaker for global best practice documentation and will facilitate sharing across different teams spread across different geographies. - Considerable judgment is necessary because you will be motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment where explosive growth is occurring while achieving impeccable quality. This position requires a candidate with the proven leadership ability to facilitate and guide the application of ACES methods to process improvements with impeccable quality levels in an organization with explosive growth. This leader is also responsible for teaching managers and associates in ACES process thinking and the importance of process improvements and automations. Responsibilities include : - Lead design and development of strategic processes - Work with program managers, operation managers, business leaders and FC team to drive critical business initiatives - Develop, implement and govern KPIs reporting for the portfolio of programs/projects, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects - Establish and continually improve the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization's project delivery capability by providing leadership in best practices - Oversee the development, implementation, and training of program/project management tools and processes - Gather and analyze data across business functions to establish Worldwide standards for project management status reporting and tracking - Provide oversight and guidance to cross-functional project teams, planning and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes - Manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills A successful candidate will demonstrate : - High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously - Ability to think strategically and execute methodically - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases - Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding our business, our projects, and opportunities to improve the outcomes of our largest strategic projects and programs - Bachelor's degree is required with 5+ Years of Relevant experience. - Proven experience in program/project management - Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional programs/projects with multiple stakeholders - Proven leadership experience in a corporate environment - Advanced MS Office skills. - Ability to lead, teach and develop associates and managers to deliver key organizational goals. - Cross-functional project management experience - Process improvement experience via Kaizens and use of LEAN tools. - Advanced degree /Master's Degree (Math, statistics, Engineering, Science, Business) from an accredited university with 8+ Years of similar experience. - MBA from a top tier B-School is a plus. - Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills required - Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Experience working in Global team environment with multiple time zones - Six Sigma Black belt, PMP or similar certification - Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations - Decisive, confident, and experience with influencing others
