Amazon - Principal Product Manager - Technology - IIT/NIT/IIM/XLRI/FMS/MDI

India Machine Learning is responsible for building novel ML solutions that attack India first problems and impact the bottom-line and top-line of India business. As a leader of ML powered products, you would be responsible for defining and driving them.IN Abuse road-map to curtail abuse unique to India marketplace. You will own the road-map for the systems along with Business Product/Program leaders and Applied Science Leaders on our team that controls business waste of Amazon India, and will negotiate features and release timelines between multiple internal teams to maximize the benefit to Amazon and our customers. The systems impacted span across customer's journey from browsing/discovering products to end fulfillment. You would partner with businesses in design and implementation of systems and strategies for next-generation platform, which must scale to handle the growth of India business. Successful candidates will have experience with risk management and extensive experience in driving the requirements to discussions with key stakeholders across Category, Finance, Traffic, Shop-ex, Checkout and Risk Assessment. This position entails taking a data-driven approach in making decisions, but are masters at the art of prioritizing a truly diverse set of requirements.

This is a high-visibility position that provides exposure to senior leadership across.IN Business. You must have strong interpersonal skills with a keen ability to use soft skills to negotiate outcomes across a diverse set of customer and partner organizations.

Master's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, or (Engg. + MBA) preferably from Tier 1 institute

- 12+ years of professional experience in Similar domain would be preferable

- Ability to simplify complex business questions with data and curiosity to dive deep, identifying the root cause and ability to look beyond the trend

- Ability to thrive in an environment that is tasked with providing data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate and actionable.

- Ability to effectively prioritize projects, manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines

- Proven track record of strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams across the world. And ability to influence senior executives

- Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships with business owners across business lines

- Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment and changing market conditions

- Demonstrated ability to negotiate consensus and prioritize between multiple, sometimes conflicting constituencies and priorities

A proven Thought leader with experience leading and growing world-class data science teams. Passion for, working with large data sets plus deep experience in statistical analysis, advanced modeling techniques, data mining and business analysis.

- Experience in data mining using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

- Experience in using Machine learning algorithms (XG-Boost, Random Forest, logistic regression, Deep Learning Models - NN, RNN).

- Past Risk management experience preferred.

- Prior hands-on experience in SQL, Excel, SAS, R and/or Python (data extraction, manipulation, statistical analysis and predictive modeling).
