Role Responsibilities:
As the Operations Manager, Mobile Content Operations, you will:
- Manage day to day operations with direct reports
- Manage the mobile content operations team to meet our Selection Expansion, Quality, and Service Level Goals
- Assign/Allocate work to the Testing Associates / Specialists
- Work with Quality Assurance Engineers and Seattle counter parts to understand the gaps and coordinate with process experts to fill the gaps
- Manage performance and expectations of the workforce through a consistent implementation of performance measurement and feedback systems
- Suggest development of systems and tools for streamlining day to day operational tasks and subsequently improve overall team performance
- Implement initiatives for managing attrition, improving performance and maintaining morale of the workforce
- Communicate with key stake holders and be a leader of a highly charged work environment
- Utilize innovative testing technologies to develop product's testing strategy
- Perform manual testing, the scope of which will encompass all functionality of services as a prequel to automation
- Analyze test logs; Error Logs create test reports, co-ordinate with stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with experience in QAE roles
- Digital content management experience
- Business process operations experience
- Product management experience in a technology industry
- Mobile industry experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating system
- Good command over Windows and Excel
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in an unstructured and evolving environment
- Good people management skills; comfort leading and developing teams with 15 or more employees
- Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts
- Strong bias for action; Street smarts with willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management; excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to partner with the technology teams to build required tools and systems.
- Ability to partner with other Amazon groups as necessary to manage daily testing operations and exception processes
- Experience in testing any consumer facing software product/Android device will be a plus
