Operation Manager, Surface Trans Job Summary : - Candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders including Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, Last mile, Prime Now, Network Design, S&OP, Procurement, Finance and Safety to plan and execute various initiatives and programs. - Candidate will also collaborate with external stakeholders such as vendors and carriers to ensure capacity, performance and carrier/driver experience. - We are looking for individuals with exceptional communication and writing skills. Candidate should have proven ability to lead and drive projects and process improvements & ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others. - The individual should have a can-do attitude and an ability to solve problems independently with limited guidance. Role will also involve managing operational metrics, lead continuous improvement process and cost initiatives, managing carrier relationships and plan for any changes in network. Responsibility : - Responsibilities include guiding team to manage day to day execution, planning, network expansion and carrier management. Building relationships with carriers and various internal and external stakeholders. - Participating in network level discussions and pick up themes/projects to implement at region to drive safety, cost and process improvements. - Developing team to drive changes at speed - Planning and scale up of capacities for peak sale events by working with central team and multiple carriers - Leading and supporting initiatives on network speed, reliability and expansion by collaborating with central stakeholders - Managing continuous improvement projects related to cost and efficiency - Creation and management of line haul schedule on a weekly/monthly basis managing contingencies.
