About the Program With the Brand Direct program, our mission is to build the most effective platform for sellers and manufacturers to establish &amp; scale consumer direct brands in India, thereby allowing us to provide high quality selection, at the best prices to our end customers. We will achieve this by providing a suite of marketing services and self-service tools that span the entire lifecycle of a Brand, spanning Discovery, Consumer Insights, Selection, Pricing, Fulfillment, and Brand Protection &amp; Exclusive Privileges. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, detail oriented and highly motivated leader to help drive the traffic strategy and merchandising for the program and for brands part of the program. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high customer experience bar. He/she will plan, coordinate and create marketing activations including email, pages and campaigns across the site; create and analyse metrics dashboards following traffic, click through, conversion, adoption and other web metrics. He/she will report on performance and action plans to the management team; will propose, plan and execute new features and projects, partnering with business and technical teams to achieve goals. He/she will help to drive feature launches and site improvements to completion by coordinating with project managers, developers, designers, and peers across the organization. The candidate will be supported by a team of associate site merchandisers to help deliver on the overall traffic strategy, and drive merchandising for the program. - The position is based at the Amazon India headquarters in Bangalore, and will involve occasional travel for acquisition and business development discussions with brands owners, regional manufacturer association's et al. Responsibilities Include - Own and drive the marketing and traffic strategy for the Brand Direct Program, by driving requisite inputs and marketing campaigns. - Formulating and executing the marketing plan. This includes email programs, new product launches, cross-category placements, developing and executing Amazon site-wide events etc. - Developing storewide promotions and working closely with the brand development team to schedule and execute them - Creating area specific playbooks, and executing them by working in coordination with the associate site merchandisers and brand consultants. - Developing and managing SEO initiatives, free search improvement projects, online ads, social media campaigns and new traffic-driving content strategies - Analyzing and sharing relevant metrics and best practices from the executed initiatives with other marketplaces - Developing, testing and analyzing new tactics to increase conversion rates in collaboration with other marketplace brand owner programs as required. - Tracking and analyzing customer needs based on customer behavior including search, browse and purchase data. - Conduct weekly performance meetings to analyze trends, shifts, spikes/dips in traffic and create requisite strategy to solve for it. Basic Qualifications - MBA from a premium B School or equivalent post-graduation, with at 3-5 years of experience in Brand Management in consumer product companies; Digital Marketing or Traffic Strategy roles in consumer internet companies. - Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with stakeholder engagement required. - Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business - by the numbers. Must be metrics-driven. - Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. - Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented. - Demonstrated strong bias for action and ability to prioritize Preferred Qualifications - Work experience in consumer product digital marketing, consumer internet company traffic strategy or Ad Agencies is preferred. - Prior experience influencing C-level executives. - Ability to "work smart, move fast and work hard"! - Be comfortable with - hands-on- day-to-day problem solving, implementing quick and effective action plans to meet short-term priorities. Equally comfortable in generating a 3-year strategic vision and a weekly traffic report.
