Catalog Manager, EU localization  Amazon.com is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join the Localization Team in HYD. This position will be responsible for managing a team (approx. 12-14) of bright and high performing associates, ensuring successful delivery of business goals, effective people management and adherence of productivity and quality assurance.  Key responsibilities include:   - Ensure that business processes are well documented and crisp SOPs are in place for each activity  - Using trend analysis and current business landscape, create individual & team targets so as to keep raising the bar higher  - Devise & measure key performance metrics displaying the business acumen to measure input metrics impacting the output metrics.  - Develop the ability to forecast business problems using sound logical/analytical judgement and ideate solutions for them  - Conceptualize and deploy transformational solutions to existing business processes  - Lead the team to perform as per the high quality expected and insist on highest standards.  - Set the vision, direction, and culture of the team by managing individual and team performance expectations and goals  - Provide individual coaching feedback sessions, and weekly one-on-ones that focus on improving customer satisfaction  - Serve as leader and point of contact for escalated issues of a supervisory nature or complex problems  - Manage and drive staffing plans, daily priorities, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, projects and other Change/Kaizen initiatives as required  - Active participation in hiring and building the team & raising the bar in hiring process  - People management i.e. Devise a timely & effective R&R program, conduct performance appraisals, training and mentoring talent to grow within organization & control attrition  - Ensures employees growth & development, set priority, drive motivation & engagement for employees  Basic Qualifications   - Master degree(preferably Business) and 5 yrs of relevant people management experience with overall 6+ yrs of experience  - Ability to work with IT systems, understand and work with SQL  - Demonstrated ability to build, develop, direct, and manage a group of people  - Demonstrated ability to handle complex and ambiguous scenarios  - Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments.  - Ability to manage conflicting priorities - capability to work on several projects in parallel  - Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions  - Proficient enough in MS Excel with an aim to improve process efficiencies  - Excellent analytical, problem solving and logical reasoning skills  - Passion for innovation, automation and operational excellence  - Excellent communication skills in written and oral English with the ability to face external and internal partners in a professional and mature manner.  - Proven ability to manage reporting and analysis  - Ability to effectively and efficiently complete difficult goals or assignments  - Can adapt well to changing circumstances, direction, and strategy  Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
