Amazon - Leader, Seller Initiatives

- We are looking for a Senior Leader, who shares Amazon's passion for the customer and will take on the massive challenge of making all sellers successful in the Amazon India Marketplace. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on the strategy to drive engagement of sellers on the platform, and invent systems and processes to make them successful in the marketplace. Essentially, you will play a crucial role in Amazon India achieving its mission of - transforming the way India buys and sells

- In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy, planning, executing programs to drive up engagement of sellers with Amazon and help them succeed in the marketplace. You will define both the long-term strategy and short term plans to achieve the product vision and deliver business results.

- The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successfully owning a large complex consumer problem and leading across a cross-functional team, directly and through influence. An understanding of, and passion for, technology is highly desired.

Role and Responsibilities :

- Be a thought leader in coming up with innovative solutions to simplify the seller problems with intuitive, closed loop and high engagement solutions

- Understand the services ecosystem and come up with innovative propositions to lift seller capabilities. Synthesize, analyze and report factors for growth.

- Lead the development of the strategy and vision for multiple areas and create buy-in both internally and with key external partners.

- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer and seller experience, performance and operational support load.

- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

- Hire and manage a team of world-class product, services and marketing, providing guidance and direction to achieve the team vision and strategy. Partner with sales and operations teams to drive adoption.

- Seller Success: Drive product innovation to improve self-service capabilities for sellers to achieve and grow online sales success.

Basic qualifications :

- 10+ years of leadership experience operating, managing, and delivering results in a services/product organization role with end-to-end business ownership

- Experience building and managing successful teams

Preferred qualifications :

- The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following:

- Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically

- Proven success in delivering products and services in a high growth environment.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

- Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.

- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners

- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to deliver products/services

- Demonstrated intense customer focus. Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty, and strong work ethic

- Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment and changing market conditions

- Simplifier, who also thinks big, takes smart risks, is innovative and can think out of the box. Develops original ideas, approaches, and solutions to typical, unusual, or difficult situations or problems.

- Past experience in the technology sector is desirable

- MBA preferred

- 12+ years of leadership experience operating, managing, and delivering results in a services/product organization role with end-to-end business ownership

- Experience building and managing successful teams
