Financial Analyst III - Rekindle Program(Amazon) Amazon seeks to hire a Financial Analyst to be a key member of the India Middle Mile (Linehaul) Operations Finance team. - This position will be a critical business partner and will own the business finance partnering for Amazon Freight launch in India and will include financial reporting, planning and controllership initiatives. - This includes the responsibility of financial metrics reporting, forecasting and analysis. - The successful candidate will be analytical and with good communication skills and should have demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-growth business. - The candidate should be comfortable driving deadlines among various teams. Job responsibilities will include : - Be a key partner to your business teams in implementation of Amazon.in launch in India. - Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process and ensure planning deadlines are maintained - Perform risk and opportunities variance analysis versus plan - Present ad hoc business analysis and recommendations to senior management - Develop and maintain key reporting metrics - Work with both corporate and local accounting teams to ensure consistent global recording and reporting of financials Key job responsibilities : 1. Preparation and regular iterations of AF P&L 2. Finalizing the supply strategy for AF 3. Partnering the Ops team in understanding the market sizing and expected demand 4. Competition analysis 5. Support on sales strategy and pricing 6. Evaluation of effectiveness of Sales HC and marketing spends 7. Setting up credit evaluation policy and credit period for AF customers 8. Partnering on setting up the invoicing and collection process 9. Partnering with the program teams on ARD 10. Receivables tracking including setting up escalation mechanisms/ legal process in cases of bad debts 11. Finding ways to optimize the bottom-line of AF using various FCF activities 12. Month-end closing of Amazon Freight including reporting 13. OP1/OP2/ Guidance Planning cycles and reporting 14. MFR reporting A day in the life : - This role involves regular interaction with multiple L6s, L7s and L8s. You will be supporting L7s directly. - Opportunity to provide finance partnering for launch of Amazon Freight business in India. About the team : Me and my team partner Ops teams in helping move shipments via Trucks/ Aircrafts/ Rail/ Ships from FC (A.in warehouses) to Delivery stations (closest to customer location) in the most cost-efficient manner. We are also responsible for optimizing cost in transferring shipments from FC to FC. Basic qualifications : - MBA in Finance or Chartered Accountant (preferred) - 6+ years of relevant work experience - 2-3 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation must involve performing data analyses using advanced Excel and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to senior management for strategic decision-making - Excellent communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management - Strong financial acumen including familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis - Excellent grasp of corporate finance and cost accounting fundamentals - Strong operational business understanding, including potential impact of business decisions on various internal/external stakeholders - Strong resourcefulness and ability to find or develop compelling data given limited resources and time - Comfortable working with ambiguity Preferred qualifications : - Strong interpersonal skills emphasizing written and oral communication - Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving - Industry experience in e-commerce, distribution, retail a plus - Advanced Excel and analysis skills - Experience with SQL is a strong plus
