We at Prime Video India, are a growing team with an ambitious charter and we are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) engineer in Mumbai to uncover key insights on how consumers watch videos on Amazon. As a senior BI engineer you will help business make effective decisions based on data from multiple sources, analyzing it and triangulating it into a meaningful and actionable insights. In this role, you will analyze large amounts of data, discover and solve real world problems and build metrics and business cases around key product programs. The ideal candidate will use a customer backwards approach in deriving insights and identifying actions we can take to improve the customer experience across Prime Video. She or he will have a consistent track record in taking on end-to-end ownership, being a creative problem solver and in successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, expert with analyzing large data sets, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. Main Responsibility includes: - Create and evolve customer cohorts and segments and develop primary and secondary insights that can be used to build product road-maps and drive product development. - Develop and socialize deep understanding about consumer behavior on Prime Video across different business teams and leadership. - Provide insights on product launches and actionable recommendation to product team and business stakeholder. - Build scale-able self-service dashboards and reports that help track product performance. - Provide data to product team to help dive deep in results of product launches. - Single threaded ownership in driving actionable insights from customer voice. - Leverage cross-functional resources to own and program manage customer research and insights programs. Basic qualifications : - At least 8 years of experience in analytical or business intelligence teams developing sound analytics-based solutions to business problems. - Proven track record of successful communication of analytical outcomes through written communication, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. - Fluency in using SQL to interrogate TB-scale relational databases to build data sets and answer business questions. - Expertise in using tools such as SAS, R or Python to build predictive models using regressions and machine learning techniques. - Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment - Must be able to explain technical concepts and analyses implications clearly to a wide audience, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses. - Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, are critical to success in this position. - Masters-level degree in econometrics, statistics, operational research, optimization, data science, analytics, or other quantitative field. Preferred qualifications - Experience in a BI roles with a consumer product technology companies. - PhD in a quantitative field such as computer science, economics, statistics, physics or mathematics. - Experience in leading and developing high-performing analytical teams.
