The Transportation Analytics team based out of Hyderabad is looking for an innovative, hands-on and customer-obsessed Business Analyst. Candidate must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong analytics/BI skills and should be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. This job requires the ability to constantly hit the ground running and the ability to learn quickly. Primary responsibilities include gathering stakeholder requirements, understanding/defining the problem, formulating solutions, building analytical frameworks, designing intuitive dashboards/reports, publishing and enabling usage at the operator/leadership level. Role - Be hands-on with SQL and R/Python/similar platforms to build analyses and contribute to the better understanding of our customer behavior - Conduct statistical analyses to keep the business aligned with our financial/performance goals - Help in setting direction and build the future of our metrics and reporting - Invent and innovate - Tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualizations - Design and develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboards, scorecards and reporting for the team - Work closely with various stakeholders to define the information needed and how best to present it - Support leadership with timely recurring and ad-hoc analyses Basic Qualifications - B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field - Proficient understanding of data warehouse/querying methods - Experience working in very large data warehouse environments - 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational/business planning, metric building etc. - Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required - Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data - An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment Preferred Qualifications - Experience with statistical analysis/model building (Forecasting, Clustering, Regression models etc.) will be a plus point - Demonstrated strength in R, SQL, data modeling, ETL development and data warehousing - Skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred) - At least 2 years of experience in a business analyst, metric building/reporting or BI role - Experience conducting large scale data analysis to support business decision making - Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
