Job Summary:

The Social Media Executive is responsible for managing and implementing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads or sales. They will create and curate engaging content, monitor social media channels, analyse performance metrics, and interact with the audience to foster a positive brand image. The role requires a deep understanding of various social media platforms, trends, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute social media strategies to meet organisational objectives, including increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, and generating leads.

2. Create, curate, and publish high-quality content across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube), ensuring consistency with brand voice and messaging.

3. Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, responding promptly and appropriately to inquiries and engaging with the audience.

4. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop integrated campaigns that leverage social media platforms effectively.

5. Stay updated on industry trends, social media best practices, and platform updates to optimise strategies and tactics.

6. Analyse social media performance metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, conversions) and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and inform future strategies.

7. Identify opportunities for growth and improvement by conducting competitor analysis and staying attuned to audience preferences and behaviour.

8. Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, ad creation, and performance tracking.

9. Foster partnerships and collaborations with influencers, brand advocates, and other relevant stakeholders to expand reach and enhance credibility.

10. Maintain a consistent brand presence across all social media platforms, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and values.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. Proven experience (2-3 years) working in social media management or a similar role.

2. Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.

3. Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.

4. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to innovate and adapt strategies based on evolving trends and audience preferences.

5. Analytical mind-set, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.

6. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

7. Passion for social media and a desire to stay informed about industry developments and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in social media marketing or related field.

- Familiarity with SEO principles and practices.

- Experience managing social media crisis communications.

- Previous experience working with influencers or managing influencer campaigns.
