Job Title: Product Designer for a lifestyle brand

Overview:

As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of our products. Your expertise in design principles, user experience, and prototyping will be essential in translating ideas into visually appealing and functional solutions. With every product we create, we strive to tell a story that captivates and delights, bringing a touch of India rooted elements to your daily life.

Responsibilities:

- Developing product design concepts from client requirements

- Confirming product design specifications with clients

- Preparing design specifications through sketches

- Budgeting for product designs with clients

- Setting schedules for project completion with clients and adhering to budgets and schedules

- Troubleshooting any design problems that may arise during the design process needed

Research and Analysis:

- Conduct user research to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors.

- Analyse market trends, competitor products, and industry standards to inform design decisions.

- Collaborate with the production team to define product requirements and goals.

Conceptualization and Ideation:

- Generate creative concepts and ideas that address user needs and align with business objectives.

- Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to visualize design concepts and interactions.

- Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing.

Requirements:

- The ability to use a computer and computer software including CAD software

- Spatial and visual awareness

- Commercial awareness of the market for your product and how to place your product as marketable against your competitors

- Creativity with 3D modelling software as well as experience with design programs such as Illustrator and Sketch will give Product Designer candidates the experience they may need in the workplace.

- 5+ years of product design and product development experience (Home dcor and improvement production as experience is an added bonus)

- A proven track record of design and development for lifestyle products

- Extensive technical knowledge on home and lifestyle product from substrate and construction

- Experience in working directly with printers and vendors

- Excellent organisation, critical path and project management skills

- Creativity, and a flair for problem-solving

- A strong interest in home dcor and development design with good knowledge of print techniques and print production

- Thorough attention to detail with excellent drawing and CAD skills

- Excellent design research skills

- Excellent Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Rhino and Keyshot skills

- Great time management skills, and are confident balancing multiple priorities and deadlines

- A self-starter mentality, and are happy working individually as well as part of a team

- Flexibility and willingness to react quickly to changing demands of the business
