AM - Process Owner - Manufacturing Firm - IIT/NIT

JOB PROFILE - MANUFACTURING

This position is responsible for managing production and operations in the factories of the company.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure that manpower deployment in the plant is as per plan

- Drive process excellence and digital initiatives.

- Maintain output quality standards of the product

- Ensure upkeep of the machineries

- Maintain and improve the output (productivity) of the plant

- Maintain and improve efficiency of the plant

- Ensure employee safety of the entire team

- Oversee General Housekeeping of the entire plant

- Ensure effluent discharge from the plant is as per the norms

- Comply with all statutory obligations for the plant.

- Ensure correct changeover as per protocol

- Handle FTR for any new product

- Identify the training needs of workmen and administer appropriate training programs.

- Maintain and improve the employee morale

- Implement cost control initiatives in the plant

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- Linkages of process to final product quality.

- Knowledge of settings of the processing equipment.

- Knowledge of secondary operations

- Knowledge of SPC and other quality systems.

- Knowledge of safety and environment laws

- Knowledge of product.

- Knowledge of unit plan

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS :

- Provide effective leadership to the production team

- To deliver a superior quality of product with minimum wastage.

- Ensure all orders are met at the right time in full.

- In time and successful implementation of projects.

- To bring in innovative changes which will enable quantum jumps in operating standards
