Looking for professionals with 2-8 years of strong experience in developing Credit Risk Models for Wholesale portfolios with hands on experience in SAS/Python/R.
Job Role
This role requires the incumbent to work on all execution related to the development of the models (IRB, IFRS) for the Wholesale lending book of the Bank across the Globe. The coverage will include (and not limited to) the Corporate, FIs, Sovereign, Banks and specialized lending portfolios.
Strategy
Assist the global Stressed Assets Group (SAG) teams and senior SAG Structured Solutions and Advisory (SSA) team members to build and review financial models to forecast appropriate loan impairment provisions, in line with the IFRS 9 accounting standards for Expected Credit Loss 3 (ECL 3).
Business
- Collate information from industry coverage teams, external advisors and public sources to develop in depth forecasts for distressed Non-Performing Loan ("NPL") clients.
- Propose an appropriate capital structure with sustainable debt levels to negotiate a strategy for an exit and / or a balance sheet restructuring by using
advanced excel skills to build financial models
credit skills (covenants, performance ratios, etc) to undertake cash flow analysis
corporate finance skills (DCF, Comparable Companies, Sum of the Parts, etc) to evaluate the appropriate enterprise valuation.

- To work closely with other SAG teams, Credit and Risk approvers, Client Coverage, Credit and Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance and other stakeholders as appropriate.
- Foster team spirit and strengthen internal relationships, in particular in close conjunction with relevant country heads who retains overall accountability for the relevant portfolio.
- Deal with advisors, consultants and other lenders as required.
Our Ideal Candidate
- MBA in finance / CA or CFA certification is desirable.
- Candidate should have strong excel financial modelling skills.
- Restructuring / funds experience is a nice to have.
- At least 2 - 8 years of corporate finance / investment banking / private equity experience.
- Candidates from big 4 accounting, law firm or specialised restructuring advisors also considered.
- Overall work experience should be 2- 9 years.
- Ability to work independently, with a "can do" attitude.
- Comfortable to work with international / remote teams.
- Strong communication skills.
