AM/Manager - Analytics/Predictive Modelling - Energy/Resource/Utilities

We have requirements for Analytics Assistant Manager/Manager

The key responsibilities would be to:

- Engage in extensive data analysis / data modelling projects encompassing usage of statistical modelling tools, developing relevant algorithms, building models in R, SAS, SPSS, Python etc.

- Deep domain knowledge of Energy, Resource & Utility. Prior experience in working for large global companies in this domain is Mandatory.

- Ability to understand customer’s business and the underlying objectives behind the project would form the basis of executing above projects

- Modelling algorithm selection, improvement testing, and adjustment recommending for each product in scope

- Develop statistical algorithms and macros in R, SAS, SPSS etc.

- Present analytics outputs to internal / customer teams at different levels in varied output formats

- Manage a group of Analysts

- Planning and adherence with the project delivery schedules

- Providing relevant reporting support to Project Managers for Leadership Reporting

- Identify new areas of business in existing / new accounts and work with Leadership to grow business

- Experience in Text Analytics, Churn Modelling, Customer Interaction analytics, Forecasting analytics for Utility companies.

- Assist in providing high level summary of activities undertaken in this project to a larger A&I pool of Managers, which could be appropriately cross-leveraged across multiple projects

- Enable a suitable cross-team cohesive mechanism to develop Utility Analytics capability within A&I Team

- Work alongside team members to ensure that no deliverables are impacted due to absence of any team members

The candidate would be involved in doing the following tasks:

- Scorecards / business-rule based development / generation of analytical tools

- Excellent hands-on knowledge of Text Analytics/ Web Analytics/Social Media Analytics/ Logistic Regression/ data analysis

- The candidate must have excellent quantitative/problem solving skills

- Knowledge of end-to-end methodologies and best practices for data analysis and performance analytics in Statistical Analysis

- Experience working with multiple datasets

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and work effectively in a geographically multi-location team environment

- Candidate should be innovative and resourceful

- Team Management including work-planning and allocation, resourcing, preparation and adherence to project plans, optimizing team performance

- Reporting support to Project Managers for Leadership Reporting

- Masters degree in Quantitative Science (Statistics / Econometrics) or Master’s degree in Business Operations/Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and with 5-10 years of related experience

- Experience of working on advanced modules of R, SPSS, SAS (Base SAS, SAS Stats and SAS e-Miner, SAS Macro) and well- versed in Text Analytics, Web Analytics, Forecasting, Cluster and Regression Modelling, developing Scorecard models

- Good understanding of econometric and statistical analysis techniques such as time series techniques, regression analysis, correlation analysis, hypothesis testing, multivariate statistical analysis, optimization techniques, attribute analysis operational research and linear programming.

- Have exposure to implementation of statistical models in SAS, R, and SPSS

- Skills in MS Access, MySQL, and/or VBA coding

- Added advantage: A strong understanding of econometric and statistical analysis techniques such as time series techniques, regression analysis, correlation analysis, hypothesis testing, multivariate statistical analysis, optimization techniques, attribute analysis operational research and linear programming.

- 5-10 years of experience on providing Analytics / Predictive Modelling solutions to clients in Energy, Resource or Utilities industry

- Experience of executing multiple projects of a complex nature

- Experience in handling small to mid-size teams

- Strong analytical background with good Excel / SAS skills

- Strong communication and client facing skills

- Ability to quickly learn the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (eg: SAP) for planning operations

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships

- Innovative and resourceful

- Present analytics outputs to internal / customer teams at different levels in varied output formats

- Ability to understand and translate customer’s business problem and then analyze the underlying data & scenarios to give a meaningful solution.
