GSS TAS Lead Advisory

GSS LA team under the TAS umbrella, provides assistance to EY member firms on Lead Advisory engagements. The LA Team hires people who have a post-graduate degree in MBA Finance or are Chartered Accountants with past experience in corporate finance.

The GSS LA team came into existence in July 2010, working closely with EY UK teams in supporting projects from Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity teams primarily. The Team would also cater to the UK teams in Capital & Debt Advisory, Transaction Real Estate and Project Finance. GSS LA team is assisting in activities like - potential buyer/target search, buyer/target profiles, transaction & trading multiples and industry research.

Location : Gurgaon

Job description:

The main objective is to achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, informing them of our scope of services and communicating how these services benefit their organizations.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Manage a team of 6-9 people

- Measure, monitor and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery

- Focus teams on the key priorities while managing several medium-size projects

- Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined geographical area

- Ensure that team members deliver quality service as per client's needs and priorities

- Partner with internal and external clients to improve processes

- Work with project leaders to analyze resource needs and gaps across locations, and devise alternative ways forward

- Assign people to projects based on their skills, career goals and client's expectations

- Produce assignment budgets and timetables, and manage delivery against them

- Provide team members with accurate and useful guidance in technical areas of high risk and complexity

- Act as a counselor for team members

- Participate in goal setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees

- Identify L&D requirements of counselees

Competencies / skills:

- Have expert knowledge of basic research

- Have good knowledge of research databases like Capital IQ, Factset, One Source, Factiva, Reuters, etc.

- Be proficient to search/source right information from relevant sources

- Perform QC reviews and ensure that the output delivered is of utmost quality

- Coach and mentor team members on technical skills and soft skills

- Manage communication with the on-site teams, and provide thought leadership ideas on scope of work

- Have preferably conducted domain-specific training sessions for team members

- Manage own time to budgets and communicate progress against plan

- Act as a counselor for four-five team members (CAs and MBAs)

- Participate in goal-setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees

- Actively promote the sharing of knowledge within the group

- Be organized and structured in the completion of tasks

- Contribute pro-actively to building team spirit

Job Specification:

Education & Experience:

- MBA/PG Diploma (Fin) with 4 to 8 yrs relevant experience.
