Our client is a 100 year old American Company operating in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) business working with the government on large infrastructure projects
In India the organisation is headquartered in Pune & they are looking to hire a strong HR professional with expertise in C&B administration and operations. This strategic role reports is responsible for India business.
Key Responsibilities are:
1. HR Operations:
- Support and assist HR Business Partners on a day to day basis for Operational Matters, Talent Development and where required work on projects with process owners and HR Manager
- Analyse and track HR data for different reporting purposes: identify trends, produce metrics and benchmarking data and make appropriate recommendations to support HR and business strategy.
2. Compensation & Benefits:
- Reviews and approves routine pay or job-related personnel changes, including promotions and merits. Answers routine questions from employees/management regarding compensation-related matters.
- Supports the annual common merit increase process by distributing and collecting merit spreadsheets, coordinating with payroll, and preparing pay statements. Ensures all deadlines are met.
- Facilitates payment of the year-end bonus program. Coordinates with payroll.
- Completes salary surveys. Under guidance of compensation specialists, retrieves data, completes survey questionnaires, and corresponds with survey vendors.
- Prepares special market analysis as requested. Retrieves information from salary surveys and enters into spreadsheets.
- Provides ad hoc data requests to compensation staff in a timely and accurate manner. Accesses data by generating new or existing HRIS queries, researching HRIS or other data sources.
- Responds to routine compensation questions and/or requests from within the organization.
- Maintains various files such as field allowances, signing bonuses, salary surveys, special analyses, special programs, and other related items.
3. Talent Development:
- Develops and administers surveys for workforce engagement, training, team building and executive professional development projects.
- Provides support during roll out of corporate initiatives, including succession planning, workforce engagement survey, code of conduct.
- Plans logistics for team building and meeting facilitation activities, and oversees client administrative logistical preparations.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's / Masters degree in Human Resources or business-related area
- 6 - 9 year's HR Generalist, Compensation & Talent Development experience (MUST).
- Experience as an HR Generalist or in another HR specialty area preferred.
- Engineering industry experience preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Human Resource Information System.
- Advanced knowledge of Company compensation programs, policies and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of Base Pay theory and practice, including job evaluation/documentation.
- Basic Variable Compensation theory and practice.
Advanced Leadership ability (Team building, coaching, mentoring, change mgmt., advising).
