As the Principal Data Scientist, you will :
- Support the Head of Data in driving a - data first- mindset across the organization by developing scalable systems and processes for feature generation, data modelling, evaluation metric development, experimental design and hiring a world-class team of data scientists
- Develop and deploy robust, state-of-the-art data science solutions for the creation, curation and calibration of user-profiles, recommendation systems, and machine-learned search and retrieval systems using natural language interfaces
- Develop and document detailed plans for data science applications to conform to allocated resources and define quantifiable outcomes for the near-term, interim and future state
- Mentor young data scientists in your team and help them advance in their learning goals
- Encourage data-driven approaches to problem-solving across the organization by disseminating complex scientific ideas effectively and collaborating productively with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Business teams
You should have/be;
- Proven record of building and managing teams of 5+ data scientists/ML engineers
- 10+ years of industry experience in data science and machine learning
- Masters degree or higher in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics
Fluent in Python, SQL
- Experience developing and implementing algorithms for multiple among user modelling, entity matching, recommendation systems, search systems, and natural language understanding
- Proven ability in using data-driven metrics to refine deployed systems by tracking ROC/AUC, engagement, conversion, retention, and related metrics
- Proficient with Python data science libraries (numpy, scipy, spacy, etc.). Proficient with R, Matlab or other statistical computing languages
- Proficient with deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.
- Comfortable with big data technologies like map-reduce, noSQL, Spark, HBase, Hive
- Strong record of published patents along with technical publications in peer-reviewed conferences and journals
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with people from different backgrounds
