Altor Labs will be focusing on building an innovation, process and data science led world class recruiting company.   - People Science Lead (Elsewhere called HR) will be an important pillar of Altor Labs. He/ she will be the anchor of company goal to become one of the 'finest places to work for the finest people- . PS Lead will work closely with the management team to - 'Find them, Grow them and Keep them'. This will require you to think big, use data (vis-a-vis gut instinct) to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention, and in some cases reinvent how work is done. You will partner with a cross-functional group of subject-matter experts to design and execute your strategy for how we staff, on-board, develop, motivate, retain and organize our work force.  Key Responsibilities :  Training and Coaching :  - At Altor we believe that company growth is directly proportional to people growth. This emphasizes the importance of training and coaching function for us. and it is a major investment area for us.   - Your key responsibility will be to design and deliver programs with both internal and external thought leaders including India's leading institutes. Our objective is to design programs that truly effect people's work and help them grow (most training don- t).   - This also means regularly measuring program effectiveness through surveys and fine tuning them. This will include our flagship 2 month long program for campus hires and lateral hires from other industries.  PMS and Rewards :  Most PMS programs are hated by managers and employees alike, Our goal is to build a truly meaningful PMS model that aids employees in their personal growth. You will be working closely with management to further fine tune the PMS and Rewards program.  Recruiting :  - Our hiring volumes are very low (10-12 per year) but internal recruiting is a big challenge due to our high benchmarks and ability of our industry to attract good talent . You will be working on following recruiting problems  - Establish Altor as a preferred employer brand in the recruiting industry and build relationship with the key talent in the industry.  - Run programs to establish Altor as a preferred employer brand in Tier-1 and Tier-2 MBA colleges.  - We hire over 80% of our talent across all levels from outside the industry and train them, build a scalable model around this problem.  - Most importantly, build a structured hiring model driven by data and processes to make sure that we hire right and get better at hiring with every hire, trust me its possible !  Engagement :  You will work towards building a culture of happiness balanced with efficiency. Our objective is to make work more fulfilling and meaningful for our employees.  Among many other things you will :  - Conduct culture and happiness surveys to find gaps at the workplace and partner with management to plug them.   - Run various programs including but not limited to a fun filled activity calendar.   Operations :  Make sure that all operational aspects of people function are met, you will be expected to continuously drive improvements and ensure high level of employee satisfaction.  You are/ have :  - A full time MBA from a leading B school  - 3-6 years exp in the HR function in any industry, preferably a start-up  - A degree in Engineering / Maths/ Statistics (Preferably), else you are very savvy with numbers.  - An ability to solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue, no matter how complex, and design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions.  - An ability to make sense out of chaos  - Good at designing, implementing and adhering to processes.  - A self starter and require minimal guidance.
