Alternate Channel Head
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and driving the performance of alternate channel business, including the Canteen Store Departments (CSD), institutional sales, and sales through microfinance institutions.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue through alternate channels.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company's reach.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including CSD authorities, institutional buyers, and microfinance institutions, dealers, distributors, and other channel partners/regulatory authorities
- Analyze market trends, key matrix and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and channel effectiveness.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to establish partnerships with institutions, and microfinance institutions to promote our products and increase market penetration.
- Drive product pricing, margins, contributions, budget management, Account Receivables, Terms of Trade and financial reconciliations/signoffs with all the customers and malls.
Qualifications:- MBA in Marketing, Strategy, Operations, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Over 10-15 years of experience in Proven experience in sales leadership roles, with a focus on alternative sales channels such as CSDs, institutional sales, or microfinance in a consumer good company.
- Strong commercial acumen and strong understanding of retail, institutional procurement processes, and microfinance lending practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams.
