Job Brief:

Mojo Care is looking for a Manager - Finance & Accounts, who will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements as well as optimize business finances and control costs to enable building of a robust economic engine. The successful candidate should have handled all facets of auditing, accounts & finance, balance sheet finalization, MIS and budgets, taxation, cost control, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Business finance and ops:

- Preparation of Cash-flow, Balance Sheet, PnL and other Management Information Systems report on monthly basis and bi-weekly basis

- Month-end closure and reporting of all Account payables and Account receivables across each project and channel of sales; review and provide month-end accruals across channels

- Revenue recognition as per SLAs and suggestions for timely provisioning

- Financial reporting (MIS reporting, Limited reviews, year-end closures, quarter-end closures, ESG and compliance reports) as required

- Publishing various dashboards for management including ageing reports, revenue growth, cash-flow growth, etc.

- Oversee due diligence pre and post investment process

- Summarizing customized reports from all ongoing projects across teams (e.g. Dues, Payables and Receivables, Service records, MIS)

- Publishing various

- Prepare presentations for board meetings

Compliance, Tax, Payroll and Banking

- Calculating advance tax every quarter and facilitating payment for the same

- Managing statutory compliances like GST payment (GSTR-3B), GST return filing (GSTR-1) and GST reconciliation

- Preparing and processing GST refund - uploading same on GST portal and reverting to any queries and notices from the department in the proves of getting a refund

- Getting GST registration for warehouses across different locations

- Support the associate entities while handling of financial data

- Co-ordinating with statutory and internal auditors and attention to ensure clean and timely audits

- Overall responsibility of managing day to day accounting operations in respect of Account Payable, Account Receivable, Revenue Accounting, Receipts Reconciliations, GST, TDS, etc.

- Complete book-keeping to be supervised with accuracy and periodic reporting to be handled in clean and timely manner

- Assist in daily banking operations and process transactions efficiently

- Ensure monthly and quarterly statutory compliance activities are performed in timely and accurate manner

- Handle payroll and income taxes for roster of employees and consultants

Forecasting, cost control, profitability

- Build out financial projections, forecasting indicators, budget model and economic trends to assist in financial strategies

- Analyze project-wise profitability analysis report and working capital requirement

- Continually work to improve inventory turnover and reduce working capital blockage

- Drive automation for revenue and receipts transactions through co-ordination with business and tech teams on finance requirements

- Review and improve margin sharing to vendors across projects

- Continually work to improve fixed costs (rent, warehouse), costs on GnA, supply chain margins, etc.

Requirements:

- Qualified CA with at least 3 years of progressive accounting, audit, Balance Sheet and PnL Accounts experience in e-commerce, healthcare, consumer brands

- Well-versed in Generally accepted accounting and auditing principles, practices & procedures

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal guidance

- Hands-on experience in transactional areas - AP/AR/Controlling

- Knowledge of GST, Income Tax and TDS

- Excel Jedi and familiar with accounting software packages (Tally, Zohobooks)

- Good communicator

- Previous start-up work experience in consumer health-tech, e-pharma, e-commerce marketplaces or consumer brands

- Excited to bring strong automated processes to drive the related outcomes

- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven decision-making mindset
