Alpha Alternatives - Senior Investment Associate/Principal - Group Strategy

Alpha Alternatives is a multi-asset class alternatives asset management platform based out of India and Singapore, with over 8000 crores of assets under management, and deep focus on alpha generation. We are passionate about finding alternative investment opportunities that can deliver superior risk-return characteristics. We operate across various alternative spaces like Commodities, Equities, Absolute Returns, Structured Credit, Fixed Income and Quant.

To support our rapid growth, we are seeking highly talented and entrepreneurial individuals to join our Group Strategy team at Senior Investment Associates and Principal level. This role presents a unique opportunity to work directly with the Partners on a range of strategy and investment projects across either of our three pillars: Business, Capital Raising, and Platform. We are looking for ambitious individuals with a passion for continuous learning and growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with the Partners on a variety of important projects at group level, focusing on areas such as product development, capital raising, building marketing collateral and other strategic decision-making initiatives.

2. Provide expertise and insights doing Competitor analysis, gathering market intelligence, and evaluating new business opportunities, investment spaces (organic and inorganic) and revenue streams.

3. Take ownership of developing financial models, conducting research, structuring, and efficiently executing project-related responsibilities.

4. Develop and implement business plans, objectives, and initiatives in alignment with the company's mission and long-term goals and provide strategic direction and vision to drive the overall growth and success of the organization.

5. Drive multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery with tight timelines.

Background & Qualifications:

1. 8-15 years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, capital markets, group strategy, or related fields.

2. Proven experience in developing and executing strategic plans that drive business growth and profitability as well as ability to thrive in a changing environment and effectively manage ambiguity.

3. Strong process-driven approach with excellent organizational and project management skills.

4. Intellectual and high levels of energy to tackle complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.

5. Proficient in research, analysis, and financial modeling techniques.

6. Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to create value.

7. Proven ability to manage and drive multiple projects concurrently while adhering to strict timelines.

8. Good understanding of capital markets and asset management is a plus.

9. Excellent academic credentials, including an MBA from a top business school or a CA rank holder.

Compensation:

Salary will be discussed individually with selected candidates. We value long-term players, and the compensation will have a significant element of performance-linked bonuses. In the long run, if you do well, you can expect to create disproportionately higher value for yourself.
