Job Description We are looking for self-driven individuals who are confident of their capability to deliver and are seeking long term wealth creation. As a Senior trader of Cotton the candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of a large and growing Cotton business. - Running and over seeing the total Cotton book and allocation - Driving profitability of the business in the best risk adjusted manner - Managing procurement across India and overseas - Building a steady sales and distribution network to processors and other market participants across the value chain throughout the country - Running a book of INR 500-1000cr of physical commodities every season, resulting into an annual turnover of INR 2000-5000cr - Managing and expanding relationships in the value chain across the country and overseas Skillset Ideal candidate should have - 8-10 years experience with physical commodities in Cotton managing the entire supply chain including procurement, sales, distribution, quality enhancement, processing etc. - Strong understanding of the physical and futures markets in India and overseas - Strong relationships and network with the main sources and counterparties across the entire value chain across India - Understanding of imports and exports and exposure to international markets DNA & Attitude - MBA from premium business schools with a proven track record - Experience in running a large trading and trade flow book at large organisations (MNC/Indian) - The candidate should be highly ethical and should want to scale up the entire business - Team Player with an entrepreneurial predisposition and strong interpersonal skills - Intellectually strong with high levels of energy - The person should be dynamic to be able to figure out and implement the best practices and systems for a rapidly scaling business on a going forward basis.
