We are looking to hire a driven and high achieving individual with an ambition for steep learning and growth as Merchandising head for multiple sales channels. This individual will work closely with the promoters and senior management towards designing and building an internal merchandising team. Ideal candidate should have 7-10 years of experience in managing a large operation, preferably in the premium retail / consumer industry, and with an organization having revenues of over Rs 2000 crs   Key responsibilities for the role are as follows:   Purchasing, Production & Procurement of Inventory.  1) Purchase Planning and product selection:  - Having in depth knowledge of merchandising, manufacturing technologies for different types of jewellery.  - Purchasing of stock (all types of gold jewellery) from vendors according to market trend, preference and requirement of various branches.  - Product selection based on demands & feedback received from showrooms on monthly basis.  2) Analysis and monitoring of fast moving styles of jewellery on the basis of sales record:  - Performing Trend analysis for the demand of Jewellery and to manage the stocks levels, designs & Range wise in branches accordingly.  - Travelling across major mega cities for the market survey & to visit our branches across India to get market updates.  - Participating in various exhibitions and shows conducted by jewellery associations.  - Ensuring 95% of fast moving stock maintained in respective showrooms.   3) Sales analysis and stock replenishment  - Daily analysis of sales report and to replace stocks in showroom accordingly.  - Shuffling of the stock from one branch to other branch based on demand.  - Identifying of ageing inventory and planning of necessary actions to be taken.  4) Vendor development and negotiation:   - Conceptualization of new product line and giving the concepts to the makers, goldsmiths and gold designers to develop range of products for various markets.  - Getting self designed jewellery pieces manufactured directly from workers and Goldsmiths.  - Handling souring dept.   About the company -   A jewellery retail and manufacturing company based out of Hyderabad with an in-house manufacturing unit, 5 boutiques across Telangana, and presence in USA, UAE and South East Asia, is seeking to augment its senior management team.
