It seeks to generate alpha across a spectrum of agri-commodities through various trading strategies by finding differentiated structured opportunities which provide superior risk-return characteristics.  Commodity Alpha is looking to hire a smart, experienced and high achieving individual with an ambition for steep learning to head the Inventory Management team. We are seeking a candidate that has proven experience of 7 -10 years in building and scaling up the Inventory Management team of the organization and a demonstrated ability to both build and lead the capabilities of a driven, bright, diverse team. The candidate will be required to have the following:  - Controlling physical agriculture commodity inventory across warehouses with a team and other assistants   - Guide the team and setup process management  - Managing and highlight risk on the underlying inventory pan India  - Proposing out of the box solutions to inventory storage problems   - Managing and guiding the team to execute periodic MIS reporting to the top management   - Conducting regular farm site-visits to ensure proper inventory control, audits, etc.  - Build relationships and conduct regular meetings with current warehousing partners and expand the warehousing partner base, analyze logistics problems and produce new solutions  - Managing transport of goods within the country  - Work within a budget, set up objectives and monitor KPIs.  A candidate with a Master's degree in Economics (macro & micro), Agricultural economics, Agri-business Management, Econometrics, Chartered Accountant or equivalent with an experience of 7+ years in the Agri - commodity Industry / Agri - commodity Research will be preferred  Salary will be discussed individually with selected candidates and will be at par with industry norms.  Office location will be in Mumbai. The candidate should be ready to travel extensively.
