Job Description: We are seeking smart and high achieving individuals with an ambition to build out a Grains Trading setup for our Commodity Desk. This is an opportunity for you to join the largest Commodities asset manager in the country, and have a front row seat in building a new grains trading desk from day zero and possibly to transform your career The person shall be responsible for: - Business Targets: Assist the desk head in making an entry in the domestic supply chain business. Target SCM of 50k mts in year one and 100K in second year. Accumulate and assimilate all India wheat prices across all major mandies to enable to take trade decisions - Supply & Demand: Send regular updates on crop scenarios/arrival patterns/price indication from various major mandis of wheat originating states and maintain Supply and Demand of said commodity. - Government Regulations: Update the changes in Government policies in reference to Indian Grains market and update all the internal stake holders about the same to allow them to take decisions. Follow Government Tenders and FCI Tenders across states. Maintain Grain (commodity wise) S&D closely. - Operational Understanding & Controls: Assist in origination along with operational controls and compliance controls in our operational area. Experience and Qualifications: - 5-8 years in Commodity Markets with large Corporates / MNC's - Excellent academic credentials such as IITs, IIMs or other equivalent reputed institute, CA rank holders etc. Skills: - The candidate should have prior experience in Grains Trading in India and an understanding of global producing and consuming grain markets. - Understanding of Indian and Global Crop balance sheet and Value drivers of the business is an Imperative. - The candidate should have good understanding of the quality of the grains and should possess good relationship with most of the value chain participants for effective sourcing of the grains. - The candidate should have the face with end consumers like feed companies, flour millers, institutional clients etc. - The candidate should have a strong analytical and communication skills - The candidate should have excellent knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word DNA: - Extremely high ownership and go-getter attitude - High energy and intellect - Entrepreneurial mindset No of positions: 2 Compensation shall be discussed with shortlisted individuals and shall be at par with industry norms.
