Alpha Alternatives is looking to hire a smart and high achieving individual with strong background in physical agri-commodities trading and supply chain for building and heading our Grains business. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to build a professionally organized and scalable business with potential for significant value creation. The Grains Business Head will be responsible for conceptualising and running the entire Grains business with an annual procurement & distribution of INR 750-1000cr of physical commodities to be done every season, resulting into an annual turnover of INR 2000-3000cr. The business head shall be responsible for: - Managing procurement of Grains from mandis across India and building a network to supply to processors and other large market participants across the value chain across India - Building a high quality team for managing a potential billion dollar business - Driving profitability of the business in the best risk adjusted manner The firm is looking for seasoned professionals with over 15 years of work experience and proved track record of managing the entire supply chain (bulk procurement, bulk sales, distribution, quality enhancement, processing etc.) and strong credentials. Ideal candidate would bring a strong combination of a professional attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset. The candidate should be highly ethical, have an entrepreneurial bent of mind, and look to scale up the entire business and create value throughout the value chain via forward and backward integration.
