Alpha Alternatives - Associate - Accounting

Alpha Alternatives is a multi-asset class alternatives asset management platform based out of India and Singapore, with over 12000 crores of assets under management, and deep focus on alpha generation. We operate across various alternative spaces like Commodities, Equities, Absolute Returns, Structured Credit, Fixed Income, Quant, and Infrastructure. We are hiring for the position of Accounting Associate, with 0-3 years of relevant work experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Reporting: Assisting in the preparing of various financial reports, reconciliations, etc.

2. Audit Assistance: Assistance in internal, statutory audits, etc by liaising with auditors, consultants, etc.

3. Financial Analysis: Preparing financial analysis, financial statements, etc.

4. Accounting: Day-to-day Accounting and maintaining accurate financial records.

5. Compliances: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations, policies, and procedures.

6. Communication: Collaborating with team members, departments, and external stakeholders to gather and share financial information.

7. Problem-solving: Addressing discrepancies, resolving financial issues, and proposing improvements to processes.

8. Learning and Development: Staying updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and financial best practices.

9. Documentation: Maintaining organized and accurate financial records for reference and audit purposes.

Qualifications & Background:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field

2. Strong academic performance in relevant coursework, showcasing understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and quantitative analysis.

3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and analyze financial models.

4. Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally.

Compensation:

Salary will be discussed individually with selected candidates and will be at par with industry norms.
