For more information, please visit www.alphaasset.co.in Job Purpose (Job Summary): - Responsible for working closely with the Credit and Investments team to ensure accurate, timely and diligent credit analysis on potential structured credit and distressed deals. The role will gradually evolve over time to handle more responsibilities on Credit and Investments in Indian Private Debt market. Key Responsibilities / Duties: Credit Analyst: - Work with a team of Portfolio Managers/ Senior Analysts covering Leveraged Loans/Distressed Debt - Preparing credit notes based on fundamental analysis for a set of assigned credits/companies - Preparing credit models including projections, peer analysis, relative value analysis, and calculations of key credit quality determinants - Perform recovery analysis, scenario analysis, and covenant analysis, essential for analyzing Leveraged Loans/Distressed credits - Regular surveillance of assigned portfolio by proactively tracking the company events, peer group and other industry information sources - Establish and maintain consistent standards and processes in credit analysis through interaction with sector specialists and senior management team - Project management and delivery of the transaction from origination to completion of debt restructuring and companies under restructuring and insolvency resolution process - Coordinating pitch presentations to obtain new mandates - Prepare and assist the clients in preparation of information memorandum, financial modeling, preparing a resolution plan, and term sheet preparation. - Keep abreast of new debt structures and related regulatory environment and analyze and envisage new/key industry trends - Build a strong network with Banks, mid-sized corporates, investment banks, financing Companies and professionals in the debt restructuring and syndication business and generate leads and business opportunities Education: - Chartered Accountant/ CFA/MBA - Finance Work Experience / Knowledge: - 3 - 8 years of analytical experience in Fixed Income and Credit Research - Excellent understanding of financial statements and accounting standards - Good understanding of the Leveraged Loans/Distressed/HY credit market - Experience in the delivery of structured solutions to clients - Understanding of the industry dynamics and keen interest and/or experience to work in Indian Special Situations and Stressed opportunities markets Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required: - Strong financial analysis, credit analysis skills, valuation, and modeling skills. - Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills. - Ability to churn out Investment Notes and work extensively and independently on Buy-Side Investment Models. - Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team members. - Ability to work under pressure. - Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
