About the organisation:

The organisation is an alliance of partners unleashing the job creation potential of every entrepreneur in India. Through action driven coalitions around key themes such as ease of doing 'small' business, access to finance, MSME acceleration and more, we hope to develop an ecosystem that encourages and enables entrepreneurship. The ambition is to create 10 million mass entrepreneurs by 2030 which intends to create 50 million jobs, half of whom will be women. The organisation operates through partner organisations, across policy, civil society, academia, and the private sector, who will generate fresh insights, opportunity zones, new ideas, innovative technologies, and scalable actions.

Position:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Alliance & Funding Head shall be responsible for leading the process of identifying and managing potential alliances and building an effective ecosystem of partners who will help accelerate the mass entrepreneurship movement across the country.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify potential alliance partners with different specializations and geo-specific strengths;

2. Assess such potential alliance partners in terms of strategic alignment execution excellence and capacity, fungibility, financial strengths, leadership and first-line fit

3. Create and implement an alliance agreement + Scope of work structure that can be used to onboard such partners, at the organisation level and then add programs through scope of work at the program level.

4. Assessment and review of partners in terms of program level implementation as well as the health of parameters that were used to onboard the partner;

5. Support through strategic communications, funding, HR interventions, process and control interventions, as well as internal audits for execution excellence of such partners that may need such interventions, from time to time.

6. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals. Identify potential funding sources and diversify the fundraising portfolio to ensure financial stability.

7. Build and nurture relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other potential funding sources.

8. Research, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations, HNIs, and other grant-making organizations. Ensure compliance with grant requirements and deadlines

Qualification, Experience & Competence:

1. Applicants must be postgraduates in Management, Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, or another relevant discipline;

2. 15+ years of experience in strategic alliances including fundraising, with a demonstrated track record of identifying and managing potential alliance partners, preferably in the related area of entrepreneurship development.

2. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication in English.

3. Experience and comfort in using technology to advance speed of delivery;

4. Ability to think 'out of the box'

5. Flexible and adaptable to the ever-changing environment and proactive in response;

6. Ability to handle pressure;

7. Strong team management skills;

8. Strong negotiation skills;

9. Meticulous and systematic in the management of objectives;

10. Exhibits self-awareness and personal management skills;

11. Analytical problem solver, effective facilitator and decision maker;

12. Ability to establish a strong sense of purpose, high standards and a sense of urgency for self and others

13. Willingness and ability to travel extensively

14. High personal and professional integrity.
