Job Title: Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Location: West part of India

Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for domestic sales of plastic housewares products in the West part of India is responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the general trade and distributor network business. The RSM will leverage their extensive experience in the industry, with a focus on plastic housewares, to drive sales, expand market presence, and achieve revenue targets. Reporting directly to the General Manager (GM) of Sales and Marketing, the RSM will play a key role in shaping the company's growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development:

- Identify, target, and acquire new general trade customers and distributors in the West part of India.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

2. Sales Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.

- Create and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and sales materials to support sales efforts.

3. Team Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

- Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.

4. Relationship Management:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and other partners.

- Negotiate agreements and contracts with distributors and clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.

5. Market Expansion:

- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities within the region.

- Develop and execute market expansion plans, including product launches and distribution channel development.

6. Sales Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions.

- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing sales performance, market insights, and future strategies.

7. Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and customer interactions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in domestic sales of plastic housewares products, with a proven track record of success in general trade and distributor network development.

- Strong understanding of the plastic housewares industry, market dynamics, and customer behavior in the West part of India.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.

- Proficiency in MS Office applications and sales management software.

- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
