Alisail is seeking Operation Managers for its Logistics team in Mumbai. - This is a completely HANDS ON role wherein the candidate will be solely responsible for designing last mile delivery and pick up model as per clients requirement. - This would essentially involve interacting with client to understand his needs, designing a process, building a team and executing and maintaining the account end-to-end. Essential Functions : - Interacting and understanding the customers last mile delivery needs. - Defining, designing and building the execution of manpower/transportation processes, right from client site to customers whilst leveraging our network. - Responsible for Hiring, training and building up a highly motivated workforce for the delivery teams, with support from HR and training team, to meet the operational requirements for the city, continuously meeting the high bar on quality and productivity. - Ensure enough bandwidth in delivery teams for peak time delivery management. - Continuously improve the pickups/delivery processes and attain a sustained level of delivery performance standard. Initiates improvements to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work. - Ensure timely and actionable feedback from the team to improve efficiency at all levels. - Analysis of data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance. - Implement the formal process control and process improvement mechanisms. Essential Skills : - Enthusiasm to work in a fast-growing startup. Needs to be positive towards a great future and take ownership of role within the organization. - Strong leadership capabilities and people management skills - Ability to work under high pressure and fluid situations - Decision-making abilities in ambiguous situations. - Good communication skills. - Ability to communicate and explain to individuals & the team, what needs to be done for the Delivery Center /Alisail to achieve its objectives. Listening skills : - Gains input and commitment from all involved in delivering their specific part. - Ability to set and achieve timelines for tasks: Set realistic and stretching performance expectations for self and others. Regularly reviews progress and acts to ensure optimal results for the business. - Strong Bias for great customer service: Engage the Team in developing their understanding of Customer Experience and knowledge of what Customers actually needs/expects. - Follows through to ensure the delivery of changes/solutions/services that fulfill the Customer's needs. - Analytical Skills: Effectively analyze and interpret information, identifying & validating the key facts, including reviewing alternatives to determine advantages and associated risks. Basic Qualifications : - Highly driven graduates willing to work in a startup - Experience in logistics desirable and the experience in courier industry highly preferred - People management experience.
