Alfa Laval - Project Manager

Alfa Laval India is looking for a dynamic Project Manager for Pune location. The scope of work to include but not limited to below :

- Manage project development from beginning to end i.e through Engineering - Procurement - Construction - Commissioning - Handover. Follow the 6 Basics & live up to the vision of - World Class Project Management- .

- Define project scope, goals and deliverables based on agreed contract.

- Estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals.

- Develop project plan considering project dependencies and critical path and schedule project timelines/ milestones using appropriate tools viz. MS Project & monitor.

- Develop communication documents.

- Deliver progress reports, purchase proposals, requirements & documentation.

- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.

- Coordinate for implementing best practices/ tools for effective project execution and management.

- Estimate & submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes as & when required.

- Coordinate with relevant departments for smooth execution of project.

- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

- Escalate issues in timely manner, if they are not getting resolved within acceptable timeline.

- Organise weekly Project Followup Meetings (reference EDGE) and ensure that updated status is available online.

- Update Project Status Report every month with accurate financial data and detailed PM evaluation.

- Provide timely information to Controller about financials e.g. cost provisions, LD, etc.

- Motivate and supervise project team members, internal as well as external and influence them to achieve project timelines.

- Attend meetings with customer, consultants and external suppliers.

- Coordinate for effective project closure & hand over to the customer & to Services team internally.

- Mentoring & coaching new engineers, if applicable.

- Ability to implement standards & work processes

- Good knowledge of project management related to Process industries.

- Understanding of engineering codes & standards.

- Hands on experience of ERP
