We have an opening for Manager - Business Planning & Analysis (Pharma & VC)

Job Purpose :

Manages Business Planning and Analysis activity (tracking performance and budget deviations, preparing forecasts and budgets, supporting in business unit decision making) for Pharma and Vision Care business franchises, managing special projects, various kinds of analysis relating to Sales, Customers, Expenses, etc.

The role will also support Business Process Compliance and follow and implement Global Finance Process improvement initiatives and controls across all business verticals. In addition, the role will act as an interface with XDFS (BPC) & Divisional Finance.

Major Accountabilities :

- Supports business units in decision making relating to business proposals, Pricing, Schemes.

- Coordinate with BU to drive Budgeting and forecasting.

- Support BU with Provide Key data analytics and Variance with Targets/Forecast to the management & key stake holders on a regular basis.

- Provide analytical support by monitoring business performances periodically to ensure profitability is maintained at assigned levels.

- Ensure uniform processes are followed at Alcon & monthly reconciliation accounts with the distributor.

- Where requested, assist in designing business processes that are in line with internal control requirements.

- Manage Business Process compliance, compliance with local and US standards per policies, interim audits and documentation.

- Provide deliverables according to NFCM schedule and coordinate with Divisional Finance and XDFS (BPC) on establishing and maintaining an adequate control environment.

- Analyses Early Warning and Risks & Opportunities BU specific proactively.

- Ensures alignment with the accounting principles of Novartis

Key Performance Indicators (Indicate how performance will be measured: indicators, activities) :

- Ensure completeness, timeliness, accuracy and integrity of business information to support decision making

- Take Responsibility & Accountability of timely readiness of management reports, key data analytics & any other information required to meet reporting requirements

- Timely & Accurate financial reporting - manage shared service relationship with Novartis BU to meet reporting requirements

- Timely adherence to global requirements in Alcon India based on communicated due dates

- Satisfactory audit results in external and internal quality audits with timely closures of audit-identified issues

Ideal Background :

Education min : Bachelor Degree from a good recognized university.

Education desirable : Chartered Accountant or MBA- Finance from a premier business school

Experience min : 2 years in Financial analyst position

Experience desirable : 2-4 years in Financial analyst position

Language : Proficient in English

Specific Professional Competencies :

- Person with good business acumen, analytical skills, creative & an experience of Management information system reporting & Analysis. Should be able to provide strong business partnering.
