Alcon - Head - Business Planning & Analysis

Job Purpose :

- The incumbent will lead a team of BPA's & Finance Analysts- to drive results by organizing, analyzing and providing accurate business, consultative and operational support, by use of financial early warning forecast systems, budgeting and strategic planning and analytics for the Surgical and Vision Care business.

- Will act as a key business partner and strategic adviser. Provide interpretation to management in order to drive decision-making, optimum utilization of resources and realization of business opportunities and targets.

Major Accountabilities :

- Drive delivery of financial targets by providing optimal support in decision-making support by the team of BPA's.

- Lead and coordinate strategic plan, target setting and budgeting, ongoing forecast and key reporting efforts.

- Actively manage Risks & opportunities, providing early warning and identifying corrective measures.

- Initiate, recommend and support business development initiatives.

- Lead ad hoc projects and financial analysis, including scenario planning and ROI analysis, in order to optimize operational and resource allocation decision making.

- Provides authoritative technical, professional advice and recommendations to influence internal and or external contacts.

- Develops and manages specific initiatives; and delivers tactical results.

- Provides comprehensive advice on a wide range of issues; evaluates, interprets, and makes the decision to select the right course of action. Interacts with internal and external departments to provide interpretation of complex information, and to understand how the needs of other parts of the business and aspects of the external environment may impact the organization.

- Provides managerial support and guidance to department and collaborates with other departments on goals and objectives, or to clarify information to support solutions.

- Directs outputs of a team, project or business activity, often across locations.

- Ensures the effective use of resources within the team and is viewed as the subject matter expert to achieve success of projects and activities.

- This position reports to the CFO, India

Idea Background : Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance from a premier institute. Pass outs of 1999- 2005 are preferred

Experience Requirement : 12+ years in the field of Finance having experience of managing a team

- Candidates from Med Tech, Medical Devices, Pharma, Telecom working in a MNC environment will be suitable.
