About the team:

The Global Supply Chain Analytics team is focused on unlocking the value of data as it exists within Akzonobel operations / systems. We're an eclectic team of data-oriented doers who love to take on new challenges, are always learning, and looking for ways to improve decision-making.

Abour role: SC Data Engineer reports into the Supply Chain Analytics Manager of GBS BI (Business insights team) and is part of a broader Global Business Services (GBS) organization which aims to standardize and improve the functional support processes into one global operating model which delivers leading performance by working in a consistent way, using best practices and building expertise.

This role will work with Supply Chain CoE (Center of Excellence) It is a process of structured collaboration which aligns all layers and functions around one set of data, one plan, and joint decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Partner with all the Supply Chain COE team leaders (Supply, Inventory, Demand, Logistics, S&OE, IBP, Network strategy) to determine opportunities / requirements for Data analytics solutions that can drive revenue growth, operational efficiencies, and customer value

- Translate business requirements into technical requirements, systems, and solutions

- Design, develop and document the technical solution: creation of data pipelines for data transfer between different storage services

- Do data transformation, cleaning , modeling data

- Maintenance of the solution: Actively monitor and manage the system/ solutions performance in close contact with the solution architect

- DevOps/ Agile WoW

- Ensure all End to End SC scorecards, reports and dashboards with insights are published across all levels (BU directors, Regional leads, CI managers to Line level management) on a routine basis.

- Work with the IT partners to ensure the delivery of world-class solutions for the business processes needed in the end-to-end Supply Chain functions

- Constantly learning about emerging technologies to bring innovative thinking into what we do and how we do it

- Utilize advanced analytics, automation and emerging technologies to improve performance and results.

- Lead the strategic agenda and expand the use of automation to eliminate repetitive tasks for employees and digitalize the Supply Chain.

- Work with IM organization to build strong data foundation using Azure Data lake, SAP HANA system

- Build up a governance model to work with IM organization for support & change management process for all analytics projects

- Perform technical solution design and implementation for complex dashboard requests

- Provide best practices on visualization & data solutions

Preferred Qualifications

- MSc in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or any quantitative field

- Platform: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Alteryx

- Experience in supply chain

- Familiar with Agile

- Working knowledge of SAP systems (ERP, BW, HANA) and industry leading BI Platforms (Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Spotfire, Tableau) and coding languages (Microsoft Azure, R , Python, etc.).

- Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data.

- Experience with Azure Data components such as Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Warehouse, SYNAPSE Analytics

- Experience in BI stacks- SSIS, developing cubes using SSAS.

- Experience in RDBMS and data modelling

- Knowledge of data warehousing principles, architecture and implementation.
