Job Specification Form Unique Job Role (UJR): Head Marketplace - Category Reporting to (Position): Business Head Business Unit: Reliance B2B Business Role Purpose: Responsible to build a Marketplace for each category across labels and brands and drive business contribution from this stream Functional Competencies: Customer Centricity, Vendor Management, Innovation and Creativity, Business process and acumen. Key Responsibilities: - Drive business across all four streams of business - Marketplace, Just-In-Time, Inventory Buy & Sell and Fulfilled by Reliance - Create and execute strategic and periodic seasonal and non-seasonal merchandise plans to deliver on business objectives. - Create a process of selection of vendors to ensure that the best value to the customer / consumer is met and also develop a development plan for vendors to move them forward based on performance from Marketplace to Just-In-Time / Fulfilled by Reliance to Inventory Buy & Sell - Develop a set of recognised brands that will partner with us to deliver or create an exclusive range for our business and provide best value from a customer point of view - Ensure that the merchandise range is addressing all points of the price / product spectrum from a customer point of view - Define short term and long term business strategy for the Marketplace business aligned to overall business & operations deliverables - Responsible for achieving overall sales & revenue targets for all categories in the Marketplace stream - Responsible for driving category margin targets / do the best cost planning - Work with Cluster Sourcing to deliver products at the optimal price and drive sales and generate margin - Responsible to ensure training and development of vendors on the platform and to drive performance standards to meet the KPIs defined for the platform - Responsible for inventory and quality of inventory of catalogue for Marketplace - Responsible for crafting promotions and schemes with Sellers / Marketing to drive sales - Create an environment such that sellers prefer to deal with us over competition and other business models People/ Learning & Growth - A team leader with excellent communication skills both verbal & written, presentation capabilities. - Proven experience to lead and manage large team - Good with numbers & analytical abilities - Absolute insights on competition landscape Educational Qualifications Please mention minimum grade/percentage, if over and above organizational guidelines, as well as names of institutes, if applicable) - MBA - Marketing/Finance Years of Experience (minimum & maximum) - 6 - 10 years- experience, at least 3 - 4 years as head of a Marketplace Generic Competency Customer Centricity, Communication Skills, Team Management.
