Airtel - Senior Lead - Legal - LLB (7-10 yrs)
About the Role :
To handle the entire litigations, contract management and regulatory related matters. This will involve drafting and conveyancing, liasoning with Advocates, visiting different Courts, dealing with all regulatory matters including liasoning with DoT, TRAI, Government Offices, etc. Also the person should be instrumental in creating an environment for speedy and fair resolution of all legal and regulatory escalations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Regulatory activities involved the follows:
Sending all required reports to the TERM Cells within given time along with other regular BTS Report, MIS Report, Action taken Report on CAF Audit, CLIR, Foreign National, Suspected Subscriber, Monthly report on new activation, Multiple connections scanned images, HLR/VLR Count, etc. Handling all TERM Audits every quarter in TERM Cells on CAF verification doing the reconciliation. Handling all Penalty issues/reconciling/filing replies/representation/payment processing etc. Handling and supporting all EMF issues. Handling of all TRAI and other reports such as Complete Subscriber Data, MNP, Tariff data, Mobile cloning report, Report on Black out days etc. Submission of all quarterly data/Report to TRAI. Submission of New connection/multiple connection/scanned images fortnightly to the TERM Cells. Supporting all MRO related activities and submission of final reports at TERM Cells and doing registration of the Sites and obtaining final certification.
a. A peoples manager having experience as an advocate, and also having experience in dealing with the telecom regulators and other DoT/TERM Cells/TRAI/LAW & Order officials
b. Having full knowledge of court processes and practices. Having experience of independently handling high exposure litigation
a. Minimum LL.B. (Professional) or equivalent
b. Additional business or law related qualifications/degrees would be an advantage
For Employees :
NESA comprises of 7 States, 3 main TERM Cells at Guwahati (Assam), Shillong (Meghalaya) & Dimapur (Nagaland) along with other State TERM Cells spread over large geography. Security sensitive States under special DoT regulations. Also 7 separate High Courts having Principal/Permanent Benches in 7 different States, vast geographical hilly terrain, with low public infrastructure and communication/connectivity takes longer time and effort in each assignment. Also Franchisee & Distributor onboarding process involves Police Verification
Report (PVR) and TERM Cell clearance which is regular time consuming activities and requires constant follow up. In the ongoing USOF Project document verification, agreement execution, agreement uploading in the portal, liasoning with internal departments as well as with the Vendors, liasoning and follow up with the concerned Government Departments for closure of issues on urgent and regular basis, etc..
