Purpose of the Job:   Protect the interest of company in a rather complicated business environment, advise the management on day to day legal issues and to legally safeguard the interest of the organization and help for timely achievement the goals of the organization. Negotiating, drafting of contracts, agreements, MOU, Bonds, JV deeds, etc. at circle level.  Plan, strategic and ensure that the Business Interests of entity is protected through legal & regulatory compliance.  Deliverable:  Litigation Management :  - Assessing dispute threats and opportunities; planning appropriate tactics, and strategies;  - Legal Research on various Acts and statues.   - In house drafting of legal documents and pleadings like petitions, plaints, written statements etc. in consultation with external counsels & by providing all relevant documents / facts etc to our counsel.  - Developing unique strategies to reduce OPEX like property Tax, Octroi, Service Tax, Central Excise, Customs duty.   - Evaluating various demands raised by the Authorities & challenging if required.  - Dealing with various courts and Tribunals and Quasi judicial bodies.   - To Monitor the settlement of Consumer cases and to ensure customer satisfaction by giving proper reply of the legal notices in case the same is required.  - By Monitoring the progress of the settlement of the consumer cases, and to check the MIS of the Legal notices and issue guidelines, set process for the same.  - Out of court settlements in consumer & recovery cases.  - Recovery initiatives thru mediation.  - Preparing, maintaining and reporting various MIS on litigation.   Proactively ensuring Legal & Regulatory Compliance :  - Ensuring that the list of legal & Regulatory compliance for all the business operations are circulated to all the departments concerned & to audit the status of compliance & to submit the audit reports to HOD.  - Conducting legal & regulatory awareness programs for the employees, business partners etc.  - Conducting legal audits, generating compliance reports & sharing the same with the HOD.  - Building up a culture of strict legal adherence where the goals does not necessarily justify the means.  - Advising legal & regulatory compliance for all internal & external customer facing processes.  Note: Local Language preferred.
